Job Description

HII – Technical Solutions Division (TSD) is currently seeking a Site Lead/Maintainer to work in the Republic of Korea at the following locations: Camps Walker, Henry and Carroll, Daegu/Waegwan; USAG Yongsan, Seoul; and Camps Casey/Hovey, Dongducheon.


The Site Lead/Maintainer is responsible for all aspects of operations and CLS services in support of the sensor suite and Command and Control for monitoring system network operations. Responsible for managing and developing work schedules for direct report personnel that perform Operations, Maintenance, air sample collection, and air sample analysis. Interfaces directly with Installation Emergency Management (EM) and represents the program and HII-MDIS in meetings with the customer. Site Leads are also equipment maintainers.
 

Essential Job Responsibilities

For new installations, serve as the system Installation Coordinator, interfacing with support entities for facilities and system infrastructure support.

  • Maintain effective working relationship with installation EM and support entities such as Department of Public Works (DPW) to maintain infrastructure support.
  • Develop and manage work schedules to ensure all shifts are properly staffed with the proper personnel.
  • Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) specific to each system position.
  • Ensure information accuracy in the Logistics Information System (LIS).
  • Submit Site weekly activity and performance reports.
  • Attend weekly meetings and tag ups with HII-MDIS Management and the Government customer.
  • Ensure all personnel are trained and certified for their respective positions and follow through with cross training of personnel to a minimum of one additional position.
  • Maintain training records on all direct report personnel.
  • Manage and oversee other maintenance personnel, ensuring both preventive and corrective maintenance actions are IAW technical data, manuals, and SOPs.
  • Manage sensor response personnel and air sample analysis personnel who will, respond to hazard alarms, collect air samples, and conduct air sample analysis. 
  • Perform or assist in performing maintenance activities as needed on entire air monitoring and force protection sensor suite.
  • This role is mainly executed during daylight hours, but can escalate to 24/7 operations at force protection condition (FPCON) Charlie or Delta.
  • This will be on-site, or on-call, depending on FPCON level and intelligence.
  • Assume the applicable level of PPE IAW current FPCON.
  • Able to lead, work independently, and with a team to achieve mission success.
  • Willing to support non-standard work hours.
  • Positions require indoor and outdoor work in varying environmental conditions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ Years with Bachelors or 3+ Years with Masters or HS diploma 9+ years of relevant experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active US Passport
  • Experience in leading personnel in Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) Defense operations, and/or Force Protection missions and programs.
  • Experience in maintaining CBRN equipment and/or systems.
  • Knowledge relating to the collecting and handling environment samples
  • Knowledge relating to performing environmental sample analysis
  • Familiarity with DoD Chain of Custody documentation and procedures for the handling, transport, and handoff of samples.
  • Clearance: must possess and maintain an active Secret security clearance

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in EM, Business, Engineering, Biology, Chemistry.
  • Prior Military, Department of Defense (DoD) civilian, or DoD contractor experience.
  • Project/Program Management training from accredited university, Defense Acquisition University (DAU), Project Management Institute (PMI)
  • Three (3) years of experience with a bachelor’s degree. May consider five years’ experience without a degree.
  • Experience in leading personnel in Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN), and/or Force Protection missions and programs.
  • Experience in maintaining CBRN equipment and/or systems.
  • Knowledge relating to the collecting and handling environment samples
  • Knowledge relating to performing environmental sample analysis
  • Familiarity with DoD Chain of Custody documentation and procedures for the handling, transport, and handoff of samples.
