Summary
At HII we build and maintain U.S. Navy readiness every day. We are seeking a Corrosion Planner located in Yokosuka, Japan. This position will be responsible for tracking surface ship class Corrosion Plans during the advanced planning and planning process. Tracks corrosion Mandatory Technical Requirements during CNO Availability execution. Interacts with and provides Corrosion SME to maintenance stakeholders.

What You Will Do
- Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
- Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
- Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
- Engineers and manages surface ship class Corrosion Plans during the advanced planning and planning process.
- Tracks corrosion Mandatory Technical Requirements during CNO Availability execution.
- Interacts with and provides Corrosion SME to maintenance stakeholders.
What You Must Have
- 4 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 2 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years relevant progressive experience.
- Customer requires a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in U.S. Navy ship depot level corrosion planning functions or direct experience related to U.S. Navy surface ship operations or maintenance planning and execution.
- Must be able to obtain a S-CAT Certification (expected to obtain SCAT certification within 90 days of onboarding the Command).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance and access to military base in Yokosuka, Japan.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Demonstrated experience in the following:
- Planning and execution of US Navy Ship maintenance
- Database Management
- Communicating with Naval Leadership (CO of ships/TYCOM)
- Understanding of Technical Requirements of Corrosion and Structure (CCAMM/NSTM100)
- Maintaining accuracy and integrity of Corrosion databases (CCIMS)
- Conducting database analysis for ongoing and historical trends from multiple databases (eDFS/VSB/NMD)
- Moderate Ship knowledge
Preferred: Bonus Points For
- A current, valid S-CAT Certification
- A current, valid DoD Secret security clearance or higher.
