Job Description
HII Mission Technologies is looking for a Senior Propulsion Technical Expert to support the Strike Systems Program Office (B-21) located at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, to assist with execution of the USAF Airworthiness process per MIL-HDBK-516 and the AF Life-Cycle Systems Engineering (LCSE) and Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness (OSS&E) processes as prescribed by AFMCI 63-1201. This individual will support development and review of the full range of documentation and products required by DoDI 5000.02

Essential Job Responsibilities
- Support implementation of Air Force Integrity Programs
- Support requirements development, allocation, and verification
- Support review and evaluation of weapon system design, analyses, and verification documentation and reports
- Gather and develop technical and business data necessary to build and, as required, present program briefs
- Support program meetings, working groups, and technical and business reviews
- Analyze equipment and software performance deficiencies and make recommendations for corrective action
- Support development of contract and documentation changes and update
- Support source selections in a technical advisory role
- Apply knowledge and experience in engineering principles, criteria, and procedures to Air Force systems, subsystems, and equipment procurement activities, post award project/program management tasks, and acquisition programs throughout their life cycles
- Provide products and services as described below in execution of its engineering support mission
Minimum Qualifications
- Senior labor category much have a minimum of 20 years of relevant DoD experience and an ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Five (5) of these years must be in a DoD acquisition program as either a sub-system or system lead engineer within a recognized ACAT I (or equivalent) special access program office
- At least two (2) years of DoD SAP engineering experience prior to selection for employment under this contract.
- Propulsion system engineering knowledge and experience on ACAT I or equivalent aircraft development programs to include:
- Knowledge and experience with the design; Development; Integration; Test, and sustainment of propulsion system hardware and software
- Five 5 years of experience developing and integrating propulsion systems onto low observable aircraft
- Expert knowledge of development, integration, and test of propulsion systems.
