Job Description

Building on a legacy of more than a century of naval shipbuilding, HII’s Mission Technologies division is accelerating national security solutions to a wide variety of government and commercial customers worldwide. Comprising more than 7,000 professionals, our unique national security portfolio includes cyber and electronic warfare, fleet sustainment, ISR, live, virtual, constructive (LVC) solutions, nuclear and environmental services, and unmanned systems.

HII Mission Technologies Corp is looking for a Senior Level Project Manager in support of the F-22 Program office as a Master Scheduler, located at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.  This individual will provide support for strategic scheduling and planning documentation such as the Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and develop and coordinate a reporting framework for event-based activities during the work efforts. Secret clearance with SAP eligibility is required 

Must have experience with Microsoft Project or other DoD relevant scheduling process.

Essential Job Responsibilities

 

  • Provide support for the full spectrum of actions required to award contracts, delivery orders, task orders, and other transactions, to include acquisition/contract strategy development, analyses, RFPs, review of proposals, contract negotiations, and post-award actions as assigned by the Government for weapon system/subsystem acquisitions.
  • Perform analyses to support program strategy decisions and courses of action
  • Develop and collect technical data and inputs for staff summary packages to support coordination and signature of all associated documents for milestone approval.
  • Support key acquisition events and reviews as needed
  • Provide assistance to the Government for the development of key program metrics
  • Communicate with multiple platforms, programs, and phases, as well as across multiple enterprises on option sets.
  • Advise and assist the Government in its management of risk, cost, schedule, and performance of various OFP development efforts.
  • Develop, analyze, and maintain a master integrated program schedule from concept exploration to fielding a system;
  • Employ networking software tools and capabilities to support lower tier schedule networking, network statistics usage, generation of network graphics, assignment of realistic durations, and relationships to network elements;
  • Evaluate Weapon System Contractor-proposed schedules against Government schedules;
  • Assess Government program office schedules against schedule databases;
  • Conduct probabilistic and deterministic risk assessments on both Weapon System Contractor/Supplier and Government schedules by performing a Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA) using Monte Carlo simulation-based software;
  • Utilize Microsoft Project or a similar project management software solution for recurring assessment of schedule networks;
  • Integrate Weapon System Contractor/Supplier and Government schedule data with the F-22 Division’s schedule databases.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree with fifteen years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD, or Advanced Degree (Master of Arts (MA)/Master of Science (MS)) with twelve years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD,
  • Twenty years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the functionally aligned job descriptions, eight of which must be in the 
  • Active Secret clearance

Preferred Requirements

  • Provide assistance in risk management, project management, process improvement support, and logistics support.
  • Participate in process improvement activities as members of, or advisors to, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Product/Process Improvement Working Groups.
  • Assist in/with:
  • Collection of programmatic inputs  
  • Determining program progress
  • Milestone planning, tracking, scheduling, briefing preparation, and staff coordination
  • Development of documents
  • Coordination of documentation between acquisition program management resources and functional resources
  • Management and organization of resources and personnel needed to efficiently and effectively meet the objectives of each task
