Job Description

HII – Mission Technologies is looking for a Senior Information Assurance and Cybersecurity candidate to support the F-22 Program Office located at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.  Must have a Top Secret clearance to start. 

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Reviewing, analyzing, and assessing aircraft systems configurations/architectures to identify security, safety, and mission-critical functions/components and critical program information (CPI)
  • Development of system security and information assurance documentation consistent with:
  • The standards above to support system certification and accreditation
  • Interim authority, and authority to operate,
  • Decisions:
  • Analyzing and identifying system, subsystem, and component vulnerabilities to determine applicable controls, testing, and other potential information assurance solutions and safeguards consistent with the NIST 800-53 Risk Management Framework.
  • Leverage industry, Government, and academic organizations to support mission objectives and assist in the development of a Cyber intrusion detection process and recommended countermeasures.
  • Work with USAF operators to rapidly develop and deliver cyber defense tactics, techniques, and procedures and cyber operations playbooks to defend mission systems, and coordinate with Air Force (and service) level cyber operations teams, such as Red and Blue teams, to perform vulnerability scanning, analyze results, and recommend plans of action.
  • Architect the automation of cyber defense actions with the goal of improving the ability to fight when cyber contested, leveraging existing cyber weapon system defenses.
  • Develop dynamic, resiliency-based techniques to subvert adversary attack vectors while allowing reliable delivery of command and control, intel, and logistics data to the warfighter.
  • Develop advanced big data analytics to detect malicious cyber threat behavior and shape requirements for future cyber analytic development efforts.
  • Recommend changes in F-22 Operations to deter cyber-attacks while executing in the face of sophisticated, advanced, persistent threats.
  • Assist in developing the cyber strategy for all aspects of the fighter platform and support capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications

Advanced Degree (Master of Arts (MA)/Master of Science (MS)) with twelve years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD, OR BA/BS degree with fifteen years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD, OR Twenty years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the functionally aligned job descriptions, eight of which must be in the DoD

  • Five years of experience performing a Cyber Operations Engineering role for networks at a minimum, and preferably for fighter aircraft architectures.
  • Knowledge of USAF Cyber Weapon Systems and USAF Cyber Weapon Systems Operation is preferred.
  • Familiarity with threat modeling frameworks, such as the Cyber Kill Chain and MITRE ATT&CK is preferred.
  • Must have one or more DoDI 8570 IAT Level II Certifications.

  • Support development and review of the full range of documentation and products required by DoDI 5000.02
  • Assist with execution of the USAF Airworthiness process per MIL-HDBK-516 and the AF Life-Cycle Systems Engineering (LCSE) and Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness (OSS&E) processes as prescribed by AFMCI 63-1201
  • Support implementation of Air Force Integrity Programs
  • Support requirements development, allocation, and verification
  • Support review and evaluation of weapon system design, analyses, and verification documentation and reports
  • Gather and develop technical and business data necessary to build and, as required, present program briefs
  • Support program meetings, working groups, and technical and business reviews
  • Analyze equipment and software performance deficiencies and make recommendations for corrective actions
  • Support development of contract and documentation changes and updates
