Job Description

HII – Mission Technologies Corp is looking for a Senior Deficiency Reporting Manager to support the WB program office located at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.  This individual will:

  • Support all aspects of configuration control, data management, and deficiency reporting for an ACAT I equivalent weapon system program from technology development through final disposition of the weapon system.
  • Support implementation of government and DoD-adopted industry CM/DM policies for requirements management, document management, change management, production and delivery, and configuration management of the performance, functional, and physical baselines over the weapon system life cycle.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Support planning, execution, and participate in program design reviews, technical meetings, and working groups as applicable to provide configuration management perspectives and resolve any configuration management issues.
  • Support the analyses of the impacts of the configuration management change process on lifecycle sustainment. 
  • Participate on government and industry teams to resolve program configuration management issues.
  • Support development and coordination of program configuration and data management requirements.
  • Support program data management tasks to include creating and maintaining Engineering Data Management Plans and Engineering Data Activity Files as well as planning and executing Engineering Data Guidance Conferences and In-Process Reviews (IPRs) of engineering drawings.
  • Support development and review of configuration control and data management relevant requirements and products.
  • Support all aspects of the deficiency reporting, management, and closure across the weapon system lifecycle.

Minimum Qualifications

10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.

ACAT 1 or equivalent program deficiency reporting (DR) experience to include:

  • Preparing, updating, and monitoring entries to the Joint Deficiency Reporting System (JDRS) or similar system;
  • Establishing and maintaining DR/Material Improvement Project (MIP) files and databases;
  • Planning and conducting MIP Review Board meetings; responding to inquiries from field units and contractors;
  • Managing and reporting on DR status and trends

Experience with tools and processes used to track DRs, hardware and software problem reports, and integration and test problem reports across the weapon system lifecycle.

Active TS/SCI Clearance is required.
