Job Description

HII Mission Technologies' Fighter and Bomber Aircraft Team has an immediate opportunity for an Acquisition Program Manager Analyst supporting the Bombers Advanced Capabilities Office, Bombers Directorate (AFLCMC/WB) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH. The candidate will provide a full range of acquisition program management support including strategic planning analysis and roadmapping, acquisition program documentation, and systems integration in accordance with DoDD 5000.01, 5000-Series DoD Instructions, and DAFI 63-101/20-101, Integrated Life Cycle Management guidance and will serve as an adviser to government personnel. Duties will include planning, executing, and controlling acquisition programs through all phases of the acquisition life­cycle.

This is a Hybrid position.  The position is primarily telework.  The candidate must reside in the Wright-Patterson AFB OH area and be available to attend customer meetings on Wright-Patterson AFB OH as required with advanced notice.  The candidate must also be available to travel outside the Wright-Patterson AFB OH area to attend customer meetings, when required, with advanced notice.

Essential Job Responsibilities

In this role, the candidate will research and analyze advanced concepts or products that may benefit the U.S. Air Forces Bomber Aircraft fleet.  Those concepts/products may increase Bomber Aircraft capabilities, improve aircraft availability, or decrease operating and maintenance costs.  The candidate will help to develop strategies for integrating, testing, and delivering these new capabilities or cost saving measures to the field. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field, four (4) of those years must be in DoD Acquisition Programs; or eight (8) years relevant experience with Masters in related field, four (4) of those years must be in DoD Acquisition Programs; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience, eight (8) of those years must be in DoD Acquisition Programs
  • Active TS security clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI

  • A working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR),  5000-Series DoD Instructions, and DAFI 63-101/20-101, and experience applying that knowledge on U.S. Air Force Acquisition Programs

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and a part of a collaborative team
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Preferred Requirements

  • Prior experience identifying, analyzing, and transitioning innovative commercial technology into U.S. Air Force aircraft platforms through SBIR contracts or Other Transactions
  • Prior experience drafting Performance Work Statements and/or Statements of Work
  • Prior experience with capabilities roadmapping

Physical Requirements

Requires working in an office environment.  Some travel by airline and/or rental car may be required.
