This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Systems Thinking: Ability to view and understand complex systems, including their interactions and dependencies.
  • Modeling Expertise: Proficient in using SysML or other modeling languages and tools to create and analyze system models.

  • Clear Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical information to stakeholders, team members, and external partners.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work well within multidisciplinary teams, understanding and integrating diverse perspectives and expertise.

  • Customer Focus: Understanding and addressing customer needs and ensuring that systems meet or exceed customer expectations.

  • Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing improvements to modeling processes and system engineering practices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering –  Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Software Engineering
  • Knowledge or interest in the following:
    • SysML and UML
    • MATLAB
    • Any Programming Language
    • Linux
  • Understanding of Systems Engineering Principles
  • Experience with Cameo System Modeler or other comparable tools
  • Experience with any Requirements Management tools (JAMA, DOORS, etc..)
  • Must be able to work independently and have effective writing and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Clearance: Secret clearance to start. Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with enhanced security checks.

Physical Requirements

Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements.
