Job Description

HII Mission Technologies Division’s Fighters and Advanced Aircraft, Bombers, and Propulsion Systems Team has an immediate opening for a senior-level Acquisition Logistics Planner who is ready to make an immediate impact leading logistics planning / fielding activities.  In this role, the candidate will be supporting new aircraft and munition propulsion systems and modifications to existing propulsion systems supporting world-class Department of Defense/United States Air Force Aircraft.  This role directly supports the Propulsion Acquisition Division at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and will lead logistics planning activities including, but not limited to parts and support equipment provisioning, spare parts analysis, site surveys, and technical data verification and validation, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total aircraft and/or munitions propulsion systems.

 

This is a hybrid position with approximately 60% of the work being at the client site on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and the other 40% being telework.  This may vary week-to-week based on client requirements and meeting schedules.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Performing logistics support activities in accordance with Chapter 7, PRODUCT SUPPORT, of AFI 63-101/20-101, INTEGRATED LIFE CYCLE MANAGEMENT, to include development and delivery of Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP), LCSP Annexes, Material Fielding Plans, and Logistics Health Assessments through all phases or the Acquisition Lifecycle
  • Providing Life Cycle Logistics expertise, as needed, and assisting Program Management in the development of other required acquisition program documents such as Systems Engineering Plans, Information Support Plans, Program Protection Plans, etc.
  • Assisting in required program reporting such as Logistics Health Assessments, Monthly Acquisition Reports,
  • Assisting in the review, comment, and acceptance of logistics-related deliverables from the equipment manufacturer
  • Providing expert logistics inputs to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) including Performance Work Statements (PWSs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Systems Requirement Documents (SRDs), Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), Government Furnished Property (GFP) Lists, and other RFP products as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • 15+ years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13+ years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19+ years relevant experience.
  • Experience as an Acquisition Logistics Manager in an Acquisition Program Office working aircraft/aircraft systems modifications and/or weapons integration onto aircraft
  • Working knowledge of Air Force Instruction 63-101/21-101 and DoD 5000-series instructions for acquisitions programs
  • Secret level security clearance

Preferred Requirements

  • Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) Life Cycle Logistics, Level 2 Certification
  • APDP Program Management, Level 2 Certification
  • TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

Physical Requirements

Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
