Job Description

HII Mission Technologies is looking for an Experience Senior Logistics Life Cycle Engineer to oversee the execution of Air Force Lifecycle Systems Engineering (LCSE) in support of airworthiness.. 

 

This position requires a TS/SCI clearance and is located at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Support development and review of the full range of documentation and products required by DoDI5000.02.
  • USAF Airworthiness process per MIL-HDBK-516
  • Operational Safety, Suitability
  • Effectiveness (OSS&E) processes as prescribed by AFMCI 63-1201
  • Support requirements development, allocation, and verification.
  • Support review and evaluation of weapon system design, analyses, and verification documentation and reports.
  • Gather and develop technical and business data necessary to build and, as required, present program briefs.
  • Support program meetings, working groups, and technical and business reviews as needed.
  • Analyze equipment and software performance deficiencies and make recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Support development of contract and documentation changes and updates.
  • Support source selections in a technical advisory role as requested.

Minimum Qualifications

  • M.S. degree in a Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering discipline or Degree in Data analytics. 
  • Minimum of 20 years of relevant DoD experience and an ABET-accredited degree.
  • Five (5) of these years must be in a DoD acquisition program as either a sub-system or system lead engineer within a recognized ACAT I (or equivalent) special access program office.
  • Two (2) years of DoD SAP engineering experience  
  • Active/Current TS/SCI clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship

Preferred Requirements

  • Preference for a prior aircraft maintenance manager or aircraft technician. 
  • M.S. degree in a Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering discipline or Degree in Data analytics. 
  • Working level experience of field level aircraft maintenance environment
  • Basic understanding of supply chain. 
  • Position will be required to operate modeling and simulation software for Logistics environment and Operations & Sustainment Elements which include:

Cost, manpower, facilities, aircraft availability, and supply chain management at the individual unit/base level in order to identify risk areas and inform management with decision quality data for early lifecycle decisions.
