Job Description

HII is looking for a brand manager and writer to support AFRL/IZO in developing marketing strategies and branding materials. The brand manager performs or assists in developing a wide range of multimedia materials for various applications including, but not limited to, real-time simulation and training applications and assists in defining and supporting the production pipeline. Performs analysis, design, implementation, integration, testing, debugging, and maintenance to incorporate multimedia assets, including 2D and/or 3D graphics, streaming video, and audio, into virtual and other environments. Authors or assists in documenting of briefs, project or task plans, technical reports, and user manuals. Requires background with relevant multimedia development tools.

This effort will help AFRL IZO leadership with strategic planning of resources and tasking to support other AFRL technical directorates.  

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Shall develop and implement brand strategies that align with Department of the Air Force (DAF), Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), and Digital Capabilities Directorate (DCD) goals and objectives.
  • Shall conduct research and analysis to support branding and marketing activities, including identification of best practices and tools.
  • Shall maintain and enforce brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all communication channels.
  • Shall collaborate with other DCD teams to ensure consistent messaging, branding, and integrated campaigns.
  • Shall manage the organization's visual identity, including logo, color palette, and typography.
  • Shall develop and maintain a library of visual assets.
  • Shall assist in translating client needs and branding strategies into design strategies.
  • Shall assist in conceptualizing visuals based on requirements.
  • Shall assist in preparing rough drafts and present ideas.
  • Shall assist in articulating design concepts to clients and other end users.
  • Shall create visually appealing graphics for websites, marketing materials, and presentations.
  • Shall design and produce marketing collateral, such as brochures, flyers, digital advertisements, and posters.
  • Shall create and edit videos for marketing and communication purposes.
  • Shall develop and maintain website design and content.
  • Shall ensure that graphics are compliant with accessibility standards, as applicable.
  • Shall assist in implementing government-approved feedback and changes.
  • Shall assist in implementing quality assurance designs for errors.
  • Shall monitor, analyze, and report on brand effectiveness, providing key metrics and recommendations for improvement.
  • Shall assist with the execution of programmatic deliverables, to include analyzing and reporting on documentation, program effectiveness, providing key metrics and recommendations for improvement

Minimum Qualifications

5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.

 

  • Shall demonstrate proficiency in using Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Illustrator, InDesign, InCopy, Animate, After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, Lightroom, Acrobat Pro, and Dreamweaver, to create and deliver high-quality digital media products.
  • Alternatively, shall demonstrate comparable proficiency in industry-standard software that provides equivalent functionality to the listed Adobe products.
  • Must possess an active Secret or can obtain a Secret clearance
