Huntington Ingalls Industries – Technical Solution Division (HII-TSD) is seeking a User Experience/Human Factors Web Designer to support our customer in Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, DC. This individual will work to advance state of the art in Big Data, data analysis, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, and advanced analytics to enchance DoD and IC information processes and technical architectures
- User experience / human factors engineer supporting the GALE scrum team
- Performs human factors engineering activities associated with supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the GALE application
- Conducts cognitive task analyses with analysts to understand their analytic workflows, develops sketches and wireframes (e.g., inspired by commercial designs), and iterates through sketches and wireframes with analysts to optimize the user experience
- When appropriate, develops prototypes from wireframe design concepts and evaluates them with analysts in the SI&T or pre-Prod environments to collect feedback and incorporate feedback into the sprint backlog
- Participates in sprint review demonstrations to gather analyst feedback and add to the backlog
- Collaborates with other scrum teams to share user experience best practices and lessons learned and with the Training and Outreach team to update user training materials to reflect new and modified user interfaces
- Provides human factors input to engineering artifacts
- 20+ years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 18+ years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 15+ years’ relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 24 years relevant experience.
- Demonstrable experience with design (UXD, UED, or XD)
- Demonstrable experience with human–computer interaction (HCI)
- Security Clearance: Must possess an active TS/SCI to prior start. In addition must be able to obtain and maintain a post start CI Polygraph
- Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
