Huntington Ingalls Industries – Technical Solution Division (HII-TSD) is seeking a Senior GIS Software Engineer/Developer with FISHNet database experience to support our customer at the Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington DC.
This individual will work to advance state of the art in Big Data, data analysis, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, and advanced analytics to enhance DoD and IC information processes and technical architectures
- Supports the FISHNet scrum team
- Performs software engineering and development activities associated with maintaining and enhancing FISHNet using an Agile DevSecOps model
- Designs and implements geospatial enhancements such as geospatially-oriented data discovery and query (e.g., geographic search) using OGC geospatial services (e.g., OpenLayers, Cesium, Leaflet)
- Develops services using modern techniques such as REST, Java, JSON, Spring, Python, Javascript frameworks (e.g., JQuery, Angular, React), and Docker
- Uses processes and tools that support the DevSecOps pipeline including JIRA, Git, Junit, Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify, and Artifactory
- Supports trade studies / analyses of alternatives and assessments of potential technologies that may be applicable to FISHNet, and provides recommendations.
- Develops or provides input to engineering artifacts
- 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 10 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience maintaining and enhancing FISHNet using an Agile DevSecOps model
- Security Clearance: Must possess an active TS/SCI to prior start. In addition must be able to obtain and maintain a post start CI Polygraph
- Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
