Summary

        

Join HII as we keep the world’s more powerful Navy afloat!   Seeking Subcontracts Administrator to join the Contracts and Procurement department.  This position will require an attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and have excellent customer service skills. This position works with both internal and external customers and the successful candidate will have the professionalism and skills to facilitate Purchase Order and Subcontract Agreement generation and execution.

What you will do:

 

  • Develops subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or services.
  • Prepares bid packages, conducts bidders’ conferences, analyze and evaluate proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes awards, and administers resulting subcontracts.
  • Negotiates and coordinates additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts.
  • Participate with contract administration and purchasing to develop subcontract policies and procedures.

What we are looking for:

 

  • 0 years’ experience with Bachelors in related field or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
  • Basic knowledge of procurement and subcontracting process
  • Experience using Excel, Word and Outlook

 

Preferred: Bonus Points For…

 

  • Knowledge of FAR preferred, DFARs
  • Knowledge of Cost Point, specific knowledge of Cost Point’s PR module
  • College degree or 4 years of experience as a Subcontract Administrator, Buyer or Purchaser (or equivalent)

Physical Requirements

Job performance requires adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the discipline. Office work environment.
