Summary
HII-Mission Technologies is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our team. This position plays a vital role in administrative matters and ensuring the smooth execution of various tasks and projects. Some key responsibilities in this role will be reviewing, understanding, and documenting administrative matters of the contract, recommend, interpret, and implement company and internal administrative policies and procedures, perform a combination of administrative tasks such as human resources, purchasing, and budgeting, project scheduling, and statistical reports as required. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, operationally sensitive settings and brings a disciplined approach to process improvement, schedule management, and cross-funcational coordination.
What You Will Do
- Read project planning, tracking, and performance reporting across multiple concurrent task orders
- Provide analytical support to optimize program execution and resource utilization
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and government stakeholders to ensure milestone achievement
- Translate operational requirements into actionable project frameworks
- Maintain compliance with DoD policies and ensure quality assurance across all deliverables
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure mission continuity and contract success
- Conduct comprehensive cost analysis and reporting to ensure efficient contract financial management.
- Maintain cost and schedule projections to support programmatic decision-making and customer forecasting.
- Track and report on contract and sub-contract value, funding status, and incurred and invoiced costs.
- Track and support travel authorizations against travel incurred and invoiced.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on programmatic data and required actions.
- Represents the business unit to define requirements and business cases for the technology developments and process improvements.
- Coordinates with business and technology teams, ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls.
- Requires knowledge of e-commerce tools, computer system capabilities, business processes, and workflow.
- Create and support project outreach, marketing, and information dissemination.
- Support budget tracking and invoicing in accordance with federal guidelines.
What We Are Looking For
- 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, preferably within a DoD or Special Operations context.
- Proven track record managing complex, high-visibility defense programs.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes and lifecycle support.
- Be proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Have excellent time management, verbal and written communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Prior experience working with government contractors supporting the DoD or other military customers.
- Strong QA/QC skills.
- Experience providing written and verbal reports to management related to financial analysis of each contract, directorate,and division.
- Effective communicator/team player working with program managers, proposal writers, and contract/pricing administratorsto craft a total package of financial portions for new work effort solicitations.
- Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to examine information or a situation in detail to identify key or importantelements, their strengths, and weaknesses, and use these to compile a persuasive argument, make recommendations, or solve a problem.
- Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Preferred: Bonus Points For...
- Experience forecasting financial data for programs and preparing profit models.
- Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of Cost Point.
- Develop and manage cost/schedule baseline data analysis, and report formats in support of customer contracts.
- FEDSIM Contract experience.
- Military or Special Operations Forces (SOF) background.
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM), MS Project, and DoD PM tools.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
- Ability to operate with agility and precision in high-stakes environments.
- PMP Certification.
