This opportunity resides with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. HII – Mission Technologies is seeking a Procurement Planning Control Representative to support the business group in evaluations of purchase requisitions for materials and services of technical or specialized scope of work. The selected candidate will confer with departments on requirements and related details to support purchasing/procurement related to business development, contracts, cost estimation and data delivery. This position is based Virginia Beach, VA office and requires candidate to work full time in office.

What You Will Do
- Sources, purchases, plans, and schedules the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods and related material through production and inventory process.
- Identifies raw material, component, and related requirements from engineering and production specifications and schedules.
- Purchases, plans, and coordinates resulting material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory sequences.
- In front-end procurement mode, analyzes data and determines factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
- Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, approves payment, and maintains necessary records of material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory cycle(s).
- Coordinates and follows up with production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling, and movement of materials and services.
What We Are Looking For
- 3 years of relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year of relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.
- Must have experience setting up purchasing orders, sending out quotes and entering purchasing requisitions into Cost Point or related system.
- Must have experience with subcontracting, and communication with subcontractors to set up execution of tasking.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel to maintain and capture data in spreadsheets.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
