Who we are

HII is seeking a Nuclear Project Manager to join the team! This position will be located in Stirling, Western Australia or Canberra, ACT. The Nuclear Project Manager oversees complex nuclear projects, ensuring they meet safety, regulatory, and operational requirements. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, and coordination of engineering, construction, and compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project planning, execution, and completion within scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor risk management strategies and implement mitigation plans.
  • Maintain documentation and reporting in alignment with nuclear industry requirements.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including government agencies and corporate leadership.
  • Optimize resource allocation and cost efficiency in project development.

What you need to have:

  • 8 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 6 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years relevant progressive experience.
  • 8+ in nuclear industry projects.
  • 5+ years in project management roles.
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance, budgeting, and risk assessment in nuclear projects.

Bonus points for:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional).
  • Master’s degree.
