Who We Are

HII is seeking a Program Manager experienced in managing DOD shore and afloat modernization program(s). This position is responsible for worldwide design and installation activities, and is part of HII's Mission Ready, All Domain operating principals. You will manage multiple concurrent tasks in multiple locations to support the C4ISR/C5ISR needs of the warfighter. We are open to candidates in Virginia Beach, VA.

What You Will Do

This role is responsible for the profit and loss (P and L) of shipboard and shore-site integrated training system hardware and software installation and life-cycle sustainment services. Responsible for providing program management oversight to a single customer requiring coordination of program requirements across planning stages with several subcontractors. Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Program may be based out of a single location utilizing established technologies requiring standard application to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Develops new business or expands services with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program.

What You Must Have

  • 6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience.

  • Must have experience managing Alternation Installation Teams (AIT) and familiar with the integration of combat and training systems to include planning, integration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.  

  • Must have an Active Secret Security Clearance.

  • Ten (10) years of direct work experience with ship modernization DoD programs (relevant education may be substituted for experience).

  • Ten (10) years of direct work experience in managing or performing the design, implementation, testing, inspection, logistics, resource management, and completion of ship modernization projects (relevant education may be substituted for experience).

  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD procurement policies and procedures.

Bonus Points For...

  • Prefer candidates with 12+ years experience in managing DOD contracts. 

  • Experience working with Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division Dam Neck (NSWCDD DNA).

  • Experience with managing Integrated Training Systems Installation and Sustainment efforts.

  • Managed DoD Program(s) with >$20M annual revenue.

  • Experience with developing, maintaining, and managing government required contract deliverables.

Physical Requirements

May be required to visit job site in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
