Job Description
Responsible for a multitude of technical support and documentation, including on-site evaluation, installation planning, and technical coordination for all east coast Fleet Synthetic Training (FST), NUWTAC (Navy Underwater Training Course), and Bold Alligator (USMC/USN) distributed and live exercises which includes participation from the UK (United Kingdom), GE (Germany), Canada, France, Denmark, Italy, US Air Force Airborne Warning And Control System (AWACS)/Control and Reporting Center (CRC), US Army (PATRIOT), and US Naval Ships.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Function as a liaison for technical issues and planning with Navy Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Integrated Warfare System ( IWS 1IT), Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR), Naval Air (NAVAIR), Center for Surface Combat Systems (CSCS) Dahlgren, Afloat Training Group (ATG) Norfolk and ATG Mayport in support of FST exercises.
- Conduct exercise technical/installation planning and provide technical coordination and support for FST as technical operations lead during exercises.
- Coordinate shipboard combat system troubleshooting, testing and all required preventative and restorative technical efforts during events.
- Collaborate with exercise participants in reviewing network architecture design.
- Prepare Joint Training & Experimentation Network (JTEN) Firewall Waiver for approval from IA/Cybersecurity Joint Staff, JS/J7.
- Keep the Opposing Force (OPFOR), Game Directors and FST Director advised on the current status of all exercises participant training system.
- Attend planning meetings, conduct teleconferences, coordinate technical planning amongst exercise participants, develop and implement C5I test plans, VoIP Layout/Directories, C5I Familiarization Briefs, exercise reports and other documentation as required.
- Apply systems analyst, design techniques, and operational procedures to complex scientific or operational systems in a broad area such as requirements development, engineering, interface design, training, routine operations, and interoperability.
- Evaluate findings to develop new concepts, products, equipment or processes.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Experience Requirements:
- 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field or
- 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field or
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
- 3 years experience as qualified Combat Information Center Watch Officer, Tactical Action Officer, or Combat Systems Maintenance Manager in the USN.
Minimum Position-Specific Training Required:
- Expert knowledge of shipboard systems to include ACTS, AEGIS, SSDS, BEWT, SQQ 89 OBT, Identification Friend or Foe (IFF), Link 16, Navigation Simulator (NAVSIM), Global Command and Control System (GCCS), Communications and Training Stimulator Simulator System (TSSS).

- Requires exceptional communication skills and professionalism as the position requires interacting with military leadership.
Citizenship and Security Clearance Requirements:
- US Citizenship required and must posess an active secret clearance with the ability to maintain.
