This opportunity resides with All-Domain Operations (ADO), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. All-Domain Operations comprises multi-domain operations, platforms and logistics, and intelligence operations.

Summary

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) will lead and oversee cybersecurity governance and compliance for information systems supporting U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM). This role manages the overall security posture, ensures systems meet all DoD and SOCOM cybersecurity requirements, and directs the work of ISSOs and security personnel. The ISSM provides strategic cybersecurity guidance, oversees accreditation activities under the Risk Management Framework (RMF), and ensures secure operations across complex and sensitive mission environments. 

This requisition supports hiring at multiple positions and experience levels. Final placement will be determined based on the selected applicant’s qualifications, experience, and skill sets.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee RMF activities from system categorization through continuous monitoring and re‑accreditation. 
  • Manage development and maintenance of SSPs, POA&Ms, incident response plans, audit documentation, and all accreditation artifacts. 
  • Supervise ISSOs and coordinate system security tasks across administrators, engineers, and mission partners. 
  • Establish cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistent secure system operations. 
  • Provide senior-level guidance during system design, integration, modernization, and transition into operational environments. 
  • Lead vulnerability management, incident response coordination, and security remediation planning. 
  • Prepare systems for formal assessments, inspections, Command Cyber Readiness Inspections (CCRIs), and SOCOM security audits. 
  • Serve as principal cybersecurity liaison to SOCOM leadership, external assessors, and mission partners. 

What We Are Looking For

  • Level 3: 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • Level 4: 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience. 
  • Level 5: 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 10 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience. 
  • Strong experience supporting DoD cybersecurity programs and RMF‑based system accreditation. 
  • Deep knowledge of NIST security controls, DISA STIGs, DoD cybersecurity guidance, and classified system security requirements. 
  • Experience leading cybersecurity teams or security staff. 
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with ability to support high‑tempo, mission‑focused operations. 
  • Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clerance.

Preferred: Bonus Points For...

  • Prior SOCOM, USSOCOM Component, or Special Operations community experience. 
  • Active Secret or TS/SCI clearance. 
  • CISSP, CISM, CASP, or other DoD 8570 IAM‑III‑aligned certifications. 
  • Experience with complex classified architectures, cross‑domain solutions, or specialized mission systems.
