Summary
HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Mgr Programs 2 to support technical execution of DoD programs within the Electronic Systems portfolio. The selected candidate will work closely with a team of engineers, designers, and other professionals to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required specifications. This role will be critical to the organization and aid with developing & delivering cutting-edge technologies/solutions to protect national security.
HII Mission Technologies scientists and engineers provide government customers with innovative and affordable technology solutions for reconnaissance, intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, communications, fire control, guidance, and threat engagement across the full spectrum of the battlefield. These efforts focus on advanced electronic technologies for integration into military systems and utilization of analog and digital signal processing to enhance the lethality, survivability, and mobility of tactical forces.
What You Will Do
- Responsible to support execution of technical projects within the Electronic Systems portfolio.
- Development and execution of Electromagnetic Warfare (EW), radar, and control system hardware designs
- Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion.
- Responsible for serving multiple customers requiring developing and managing plans across several subcontractors.
- Responsible for overseeing a program contained at one primary geographic location however covering remote locations and multiple business functions and employees directly assigned to program.
- Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs.
- Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
- Develops new business or expands services with the customer.
- Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
- Directs the work of employees including management level assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.
- Supports generation of technology roadmaps and customer engagement plans
What we Are Looking For: Minimum Qualifications
- 6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience.
- Experience with large scale Research and Development (R&D) Projects
- Experience with developing and leading cross-functional research and development teams.
- Proven expertise in developing and/or translating complex technical concepts into strategic, actionable initiatives
- Proven experience with project lifecycle, budget, resource and risk mitigation management
- Active Secret Clearance
Preferred: Bonus Points For
- Technical experience with: Antenna R&D programs, Radio Frequency (RF) Technology, Developmental Radar Systems, Electronic Warfare, and Sub-Millimeter Applications
- Management experience with business opportunity identification, market and trend analysis, and technology commercialization.
