You will be responsible for leading the Enterprise Field Services team while also acting as a collaborative force, working directly with engineers, designers, and IT teams. If you are passionate about managing technical teams and have a deep expertise in Linux environments with a mindset for automation and performance tuning, this is the role for you.

Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!

•    Lead and manage the Enterprise Field Services team, planning and prioritizing their workload, tracking emergency problems, and fostering team goals and morale.
•    Manage and oversee change management, incident management, and monthly patching for all applications. Ensure that Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met, and applications are up to date with the latest security and patching protocols.
•    Work closely with the SOX Compliance and IT Cyber teams to ensure all software delivery, applications, and processes meet security rules, regulations, and compliance standards, including DFARS, NIST, and CMMC. Establish IT best practices and security policies.
•    Handle software vendor selection, renewals, and license procurement.

•    Develop scripts (Bash, Python, or Ansible) to automate system administration tasks and software deployments.
•    Diagnose and resolve performance issues related to CAD applications, graphics rendering, and system resource utilization.
•    Assist engineers and designers with technical issues related to CAD software, providing training and best practices when necessary.
•    Work closely with IT infrastructure teams, software vendors, and engineering departments to optimize system performance and contribute to the IT Roadmap.
•    Provide onsite technical support for end-users, including the deployment and troubleshooting of various IT assets (e.g., desktops, laptops).
•    Set up new equipment and devices; set up and maintain workstations; provide appropriate access to applications, systems, and data
•    Train end-users on new devices and technologies
•    Provide guidance and explain policies and procedures to IT support staff and end-users
•    Communicate and translate technical information to non-technical end users; maintain communication and monitor incident through resolution
•    Participate in the maintenance, implementation, troubleshooting, and end-user support for applications, mobile devices, and servers

Requirements: I have already done that or have it!

•    4 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 2 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years relevant progressive experience.
•    3+ years of experience in CAD application support (preferably in shipbuilding, aerospace, or manufacturing) and 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration, including troubleshooting and performance tuning.
•    Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills with a keen eye for detail. Excellent project management, organization, and planning abilities. Proven leadership skills that inspire technical teams to achieve success.
•    Experience with software delivery, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and software development life cycles.
