Job Description

HII- Mission Technologies is looking for an Information Management for Operations Planning Group professional at Shaw AFB, SC. 

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Provide operational planning expertise to assist in future deliberate steadystate and contingency operational planning
  • Provide operational planning expertise to assist in current crisis action planning
  • Provide analysis and technical input recommendations to 9AF AFCENT WARNORD, OPLAN, OPORD, and FRAGO guidance and other plans, utilizing  CENTCOM and HAF guidance. In addition, they will keep the existing plans and orders up to date and executable and coordinate with external agencies as required, to include Army Central Command (ARCENT), CENTCOM, CAOC,and others
  • Provide subject matter expertise to operations planners for operations, activities, and investments (OAIs)
  • Facilitate Component Operational Planning Teams and coordinate across 9AF AFCENT functional areas and Air Expeditionary Wings on the OPORDs.
  • Assist with updating/developing OPG guidance for 9AF AFCENT and inform
  • CENTCOM of 9AF AFCENT initiatives; including creating products to update senior leaders
  • Update/brief OPG leadership on current and future requirements, limiting factors, risks and activities
  • Coordinate with HAF and other MAJCOM OPG offices on briefings, working groups, regularly scheduled meetings, and on development of common products and processes.
  • Administer applicable data repositories (i.e. C2IE, C2IMERA, Sharepoint, other websites) associated with the Operational Planning Group on NIPR, SIPR, and other networks.
  • Handle and post all information and non-intelligence requests for information (RFIs)
  • Manage the Support Team Cell for the OPG Leader
  • Ensures the capture of key information and lessons during planning
  • Ensures the recording of minutes for discussions with the COMAFFOR/CFACC to ensure OPG follows commander guidance
  • Ensure OPG compiles, organizes, and posts information in a logical manner to aid the planning process and to preserve future reference
  • Oversees team’s use of information technology tools (e.g. TMT, C2IE, C2IMERA, etc.) to build and maintain web pages, overlays and briefs, and draft orders
  • Coordinate with the Knowledge Management Officer (KMO) to ensure compliance with 9AF AFCENT Information Management (IM) and/or Knowledge Management (KM) Plans
  • Support 9AF AFCENT/A3 personnel in response to routine suspenses and staff inquiries as they apply to 9AF AFCENT/USCENTCOM OPG, Air Planning Group (APG), and general/broader office management and processes (such as Division-level tasker management) when required. Also, the contractor shall assist in the development, for government production and distribution, of written documentation (e.g., 9 AF AFCENT) policy letters, letters of instruction, business rules, etc.), which enhance the understanding of 9AF AFCENT/USCENTCOM OPG and APG planning and execution.
  • Comply with all staff policies IAW the current versions of AFI 13-103, Air Force Forces (AFFOR) Staff Operations, Readiness and Structures and HQ 9AF AFCENT and HQ 9AF AFCENT/A3 policies and guidance
     

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
  • Experience working plans/programs in a Component- Numbered AF or HHQ staff position or other service equivalent -Three years’ experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications, e-mail systems, and Task Management Tool or the equivalent
  • Experience with USCENTCOM operational environment, including deliberate and crisis action planning
  • Minimum 1 year experience in the use of C2IE, C2IMERA, or equivalent database tools.
  • Must be capable of worldwide travel including passport and visa requirements.
  • Clearance- Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI 
     

Preferred Requirements

  • 5 years of experience.
  • 3 years’ experience working plans/programs in a Component- Numbered AF or HHQ staff position or other service equivalent -Three years’ experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications, e-mail systems, and Task Management Tool or the equivalent
  • 3 years’ experience with USCENTCOM operational environment, including deliberate and crisis action planning
