Job Description

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Logistics Management Analyst 1 to join our Deployed Equipment Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing the logistics processes related to the deployment, maintenance, and recovery of military equipment and assets. You will work closely with operational teams to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of necessary equipment to support mission-critical operations.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Logistics Planning and Coordination:

  • Develop and implement logistics plans for the deployment, transportation, and distribution of military equipment and supplies.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders, including military personnel, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure seamless logistics operations.
  • Analyze and optimize transportation routes, modes, and schedules to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.


Asset Tracking and Inventory Management:

  • Maintain accurate records and databases of deployed equipment, including location, condition, and maintenance status.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations to ensure accountability and visibility of assets.
  • Implement asset tracking systems and procedures to monitor the movement and utilization of equipment.


Maintenance and Repair Management:

  • Develop and oversee maintenance schedules and protocols for deployed equipment to ensure operational readiness.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams and vendors for repair and servicing of equipment in the field.
  • Analyze maintenance data and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.


Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on logistics operations, performance metrics, and cost analyses.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of logistics processes, procedures, and policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address logistics challenges and opportunities.


Continuous Improvement:

  • Continuously evaluate and optimize logistics processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
  • Identify and implement best practices and industry standards in logistics management.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new logistics strategies.

 

  1. Establish theater policy and operational procedural guidance for effective equipment management.
  2. Consult with 9 AF leadership on Materiel Management requirements for operations, deployments, exercises, and OPLAN execution.
  3. Provide analytical support for managing the deployed equipment program, including approximately 413,000 assets, loaned, transferred, and WRM equipment at contingency locations. Assist Equipment Accountability Elements (EAEs) throughout the AOR.
  4. Oversee SA/LW, COMSEC, SPRAM, in-use equipment accounts, and all equipment-related transactions across nine AOR locations, ensuring compliance with MAJCOM-level requirements.
  5. Synchronize logistics actions to support aircraft serviceability, ground equipment, mobility, munitions, and air transportation within the 9AF AFCENT theater.
  6. Advise 9AF AFCENT FAMs, A4R Division Chief, Supply Program Manager, Forward Staff, and deployed supply leadership on managing and accounting for deployed equipment assets.
  7. Coordinate equipment-related actions and transactions with SCOW and SCOS.
  8. Review and coordinate equipment authorization requests and redistribution orders with respective FAMs, including approval/disapproval and forwarding to 440 SCOS for processing.
  9. Assist with the movement and tracking of equipment for inter/intra-theater purposes.
  10. Monitor, analyze, and assess metrics to ensure accurate maintenance of equipment authorization and redistribution records.
  11. Train newly assigned personnel across nine AOR locations on 9AF AFCENT duties, responsibilities, and processes, and provide documentation for access to supply systems/databases.
  12. Utilize the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS).

Minimum Qualifications

0 years experience with Bachelors in related field (ie., logistics, supply chain management); or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.

  • Secret security clearance required
  • Ability to deploy TDY to forward locations within the AFCENT AOR
  • Four years of USAF Materiel Management experience
  • Three years of USAF Equipment Management experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in logistics software, databases, and spreadsheet applications (e.g., ERP systems, MS Office).
  • Knowledge of military logistics operations, regulations, and procedures is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Two years’ experience with technical capability to utilize the following supply related systems/applications:

USAF database programs:

  • Logistics Installations & Mission Support ‐ Enterprise View (LIMS‐EV),
  • Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS),
  • Web Federal Logistics Information System (WEBFLIS),
  • Integrated Logistics System‐Supply (ILS‐S)

Physical Requirements

  • May require working in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level. May encounter extremes of temperature, pollution, humidity, noise, and other environmental factors while collecting data, observing performance of task teams.
  • May require ability to travel TDY to forward deployed locations within the AFCENT AOR.
