Summary
HII's Mission Technologies division focuses on delivering advanced solutions for national security and defense. This role specifically resides in our Platform Integration division and will help support Enterprise Level Security & Modernization for IT, Cyber, facilities and personnel. We’re looking for motivated and mission-oriented individuals to join our incredible team in the DC area!
As a Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in architecting, implementing, and maintaining complex IT infrastructure solutions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute technical strategies that align with our program's mission objectives while ensuring optimal system performance and security.
This is a proposal requisition with a June 2025 anticipated award date
What you will do
- Lead technical design and development initiatives to meet current and future program requirements.
- Shape and contribute to strategic technical vision and technology roadmap development.
- Design and implement complex IT infrastructure solutions that may include computer networks, software applications and large-scale hardware configuration.
- Provide strategic guidance on technology milestones and roadmap execution.
- Maintain comprehensive technical baseline documentation.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure alignment with program objectives.
What we are looking for
- 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
- Proven experience designing and troubleshooting complex IT systems.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage innovative technologies, including AI integration and automation.
- Strong technical proficiency in cloud computing environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Active TS security clearance with SCI eligibility.
Bonus points for
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Prior experience in government or defense environments.
- Certification in relevant technical disciplines.
- Track record of successful large-scale system implementations
Physical Requirements
- Office or industrial environment.
- Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving materials may be required.
