Job Description
Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is looking for an Engineer Systems 4 to support the Joint Training Synthetic Environment (JTSE) Joint Staff (JS) J7 contract at our Suffolk, VA Joint Staff Complex. The qualified candidate will have experience working in an engineering capacity.
Essential Job Responsibilities
• Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
• Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
• Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• Applies extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines.
• Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
• Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
Minimum Qualifications
- 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
- Active Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Requirements
1. Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Word.
2. Experience working in Defense Industry, Joint Training Environment, or Exercise Planning.
3. Knowledge/experience using Confluence/Atlassian & Gitlab.
