Who We Are
Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is searching for a qualified candidate to fill the role of Network Administrator 3. This position works on site at the Expeditionary Warfare Training Group, Pacific in San Diego, CA supporting Naval Surface Warfare Center-Corona in providing Network and Systems Administration directly to the Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) program of record. The Network Administrator position requires interaction with Military, Government and Contractor Leadership. Communication skills are required. The position requires flexibility to work non-standard work hours and work weeks of more than 40 hours to meet business, customer, and contractual requirements.
What You Will Do
- Provide technical assistance to military staff and Contractor War Gaming Staff for Secret internet (SIPR) and C4I Systems account logins, account creation and troubleshooting of Virtual Machines.
- Serve as EWTGP’s MAGTF Classroom and JEWL’s Systems Administrator in support of training events.
- Upgrade C4I systems, including security patches as directed by senior technicians.
- Manage the setup, operation and monitoring of internal communication systems and communications plan prior to and during war gaming events.
- Assist with inventory of current assets and DRMO of outdated equipment, safeguarding systems in accordance with prescribed classification level.
- Serve as Trusted Agent (TA) and assist with SIPR token registration and pin resets.
- Verify all new incoming system(s) and disk drive(s) is/are classified correctly. Record make, model, and serial # of all disks (SSD/HDD) and submit for CMCC Control Numbers
- DTA/MTA transfers when needed
- Assist in the Administering and troubleshooting on the following Programs of Record (POR); Theater Battle Management Core Systems (TBMCS), Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS), Global Command and Control (GCCS), MAGTF Tactical Warfare Simulation (MTWS), Tactical Control System (TCS) and Joint Tactical Common Operation Picture Workstation (JTCW)
What You Must Have
- 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
- Knowledge of managing clients in a virtual operating system environment, creating, and managing accounts and interactive troubleshooting with users.
- Required IT certifications: Windows Operating System; CompTIA Security + CE (or equivalent or higher).
- 5 years’ experience with military C4I systems’ operational and technical integration and system administration.
- 5 years’ experience implementing required system upgrades, configuration, changes and security patches while maintaining system functionality.
- Ability to recognize and troubleshoot C4I system problems to assure continued execution of war gaming events.
- Experience in Windows Systems administration.
- Well-developed personal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office tools.
- Must currently hold and be able to maintain a US Secret clearance, with the ability to upgrade to a US Top Secret clearance if required.
