Summary

This position is to be a member of the CNAP Material Condition Assist Team (MCAT). The function of this position is to support Habitability and Supply inspection requirements in support of contract tasking requirements.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Controls the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements. Ensures that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to meet marketing and financial objectives. Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration and related functions. Builds relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives. Integrates learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position.

What You Must Have

  • 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.

  • Must have US Navy Supply background as active duty Navy and/or as a contractor.

  • Must have US Navy Culinary Specialist background.

  • Experience working with the COMNAVAIRPAC organization.

  • Knowledge of US Navy Food Service Excellence award (NEY) requirements.

  • Providing essential policy and procedural guidance to oversee Food Service operations for US Naval Carriers. This includes conducting rigorous Supply Management Assessments and Supply Management Inspections. 

  • Conducting training and technical expertise Ships Force with the purpose of enhancing shipboard Supply service operations. 

  • Experience being a technical trainer, offering in-depth problem-solving methodologies and valuable recommendations for continuous improvements during all Supply assessments and inspections.

  • Must have experience acting as a Fleet Liaison, serving as a pivotal point of contact between US Carriers, NAVSUP, Navy Food Management Team (NFMT), and Type Commanders (TYCOM).

  • Experience being involved in the proper preparation of training handouts for Supply Management Inspectors (SMI).

  • One or more assignments onboard a US Navy Aircraft Carrier.

  • Strong computer skills with MS Office applications.

  • Strong communication skills, verbal, written and electronically.

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET level security clearance. 

  • Must have the ability to obtain a CAC badge, base and ship access.

Preferred: Bonus Points For

  • A current, valid DoD Secret security clearance or higher. 

Physical Requirements

Must be able to work in a shipboard environment. Must be able to lift, carry, and transport heavy equipment.
