Job Description
HII-TSD is currently seeking a Learning Standards Officer to work in San Diego, CA in support of Naval Information Warfare Center, Pacific (NIWC PAC). NIWC Pacific Code 43120 Logistics and Training Branch is responsible for providing training services to tactical afloat shipboard, ashore and submarine Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR), Manpower, Logistics and Business systems. This effort is to provide training support to Naval Information Warfare Center, Pacific (NIWC PAC), Naval Information Warfare Center, Atlantic (NIWC LANT), Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWARSYSCOM), Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP), and Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) in support of Naval Information Warfare (NAVWAR) systems and products integrated on their platforms.

Provide evaluation support by maintaining data summary reports, participating as a member of Academic Review Boards, conducting instructor evaluations and processing student critique data. Provide curriculum audit management support by updating documents in curriculum master records and reviewing training requirements in an automated database. Coordinate with schoolhouse staff, contractors, and higher-level commands to plan and conduct course revisions in accordance with agency regulations. Also provide documentation, presentations, status charts and data calls as required.
Training Specialist/Learning Standards Officer, (NIWC PAC)
• Develop recommendations on significant matters affecting training programs.
• Analyze instruction material, equipment, and facilities for changes to improve the curriculum.
• Monitor external course data and recommend updates as necessary to CANTRAC, CeTARS, NMCI websites, and any other means of course information dissemination.
• Review Total Quality Indicator (TQI) reports, report training deficiencies and prepare packages for external review.
• Monitor and participate in curriculum development projects for assigned courses.
• Monitor, evaluate and advise leadership on qualification status of instructors and ensure newly reporting instructors adhere to local policies, guidelines, and qualification procedures.
• Conduct instructor spot-check evaluations and provide written feedback.

Preferred Requirements
Minimum of 10 years of experience with at least 7 years of specialized experience in the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of Navy training curriculum utilizing the NAVEDTRA series of instructions.
