Summary
Join HII as we keep the world's most powerful Navy afloat! This position is to be the Carrier Engineering Maintenance Assist Team (CEMAT) Project Manager for Integrated Logistics Support (ILS). This position is responsible for day-to-day tasking requirements including working with CNAP to coordinate material condition assessments, reporting and close out.
What You Will Do
- Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
- Oversee shipboard equipment validations and record processing.
- Prepare various monthly analysis reports used by senior N43 branch management at the Commander Naval Air forces (CNAF), Fleet and shipboard level.
- Coordinate Material condition assessments, reporting, and close outs.
- Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
- Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
What You Must Have
- 6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience.
- Knowledge of the COMNAVAIRPAC Organization.
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Must have current or previous shipboard experience.
- Must have experience providing strategic maintenance support including work package with planned maintenance system and providing logistics support and procedures for various maintenance availabilities such as Pier-side Incremental Availability (PIA), Continuous Maintenance Availability (CMAV), maintenance Window of Opportunity (WOO).
- Experience working with reviewing Jobs (AWRs) for accuracy and working with the Ships Maintenance Manager and/or CNAP Maintenance Program Managers (MPMs) for JCN assignments to Ships Force and outside activities.
- Experience planning ships maintenance and overhaul requirements in execution of daily production and review of Ship Change Documents (SCD) and current ship’s maintenance project.
- Knowledge and use of Maintenance Data System and OMMS-NG, Preventive Maintenance Management System, and SKED 3.2.
- Coordinating complex shipboard configuration and technical issues with CNAP, Fleet Training Center (FTC) and Configuration Data Managers (CDM).
- Familiarity with the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM).
- Expert knowledge of Navy 3-M system.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Confidential Security clearance.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain base and ship access.
Preferred: Bonus Points For
- Possessing an Associate’s degree or above.
- US NAVY experience in a 3MC position.
- A current, active DoD Confidential Security clearance or above.
