Summary

The Carrier Engineering Maintenance Assist Team (CEMAT) is searching for a dedicated Administrative professional in San Diego, CA, to provide comprehensive support to our organizational unit. In this full-time role, you'll manage a variety of tasks, including compiling reports, scheduling meetings, and serving as the primary point of contact for administrative inquiries. You'll be a vital member of the CVN Availability Project Team, supporting HII-NNS in their crucial work.

What You Will Do

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the organizational unit, managing a combination of diverse tasks.
  • Maintain project information by gathering and recording data from various sources.
  • Compile and distribute reports to appropriate personnel.
  • Schedule and organize meetings, including going onboard US Navy ships when necessary.
  • Represent the unit as the primary point of contact for administrative inquiries.

What You Must Have

  • 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to climb shipboard ladders.
  • Must be able to work in an industrial environment.
  • Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft software including excel and can learn proprietary database systems.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with team members, the customer, and subcontractors.  
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work independently and with initiative to keep the mission advancing.
  • Extensive experience with detailed record keeping.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain base and ship access.

Physical Requirements

Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
