Job Description

HII-MDIS is currently seeking a Senior Training Specialist to support a Federal government agency, located in San Antonio, Texas. 

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise on technical concepts, applications, and best practices.
  • Present technical training materials in an eLearning environment.
  • Develop training materials from vendor training and adapting it to client specific training.
  • Facilitate and coordinate the development of technical training materials.
  • Create and develop distance learning using multimedia development tools.
  • Edit documents using a set of vetted guidelines.
  • Maintain project documentation.
  • Produce professional quality work within tight deadlines and evolving priorities.
  • Partner with other subject matter experts to obtain information, validate content, and evaluate the effectiveness of course delivery.
  • Utilize training tools and technologies to deliver design solutions.
  • Deliver training using tools and technologies, such as Blackboard and MS Teams.

Minimum Qualifications

6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.

  • Experience training adult learners
  • Ability to develop, document, and maintain training materials (design documents, lesson plans, instructor guides, participant labs, assessments, and evaluations)
  • An understanding of the development of case studies and scenario-based exercises
  • Ability to work and interact with others in a team environment
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Flexibility and adaptability to handle competing work demands
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Demonstrated ability to communicate to nontechnical audiences on technical issues
      • Demonstrated ability to communicate on a technical level to technical audiences

Preferred Requirements

Bachelors Degree with 9 years of general experience and 6 years of specialized experience.

  • Experience with one or more of the following applications
    • Microsoft Products
    • Camtasia
    • Blackboard
    • Cornerstone
    • Security concepts

Physical Requirements

Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
