Summary

 

Cyber Electronics Warfare & Space (CEWS) is currently seeking a strategic-minded systems engineer with intelligence community experience that will help architect a space roadmap for the future. HII enables Space Control (SC), Cyberspace Operations (CO), and Electronic Warfare (EW) capabilities for Major Commands (MAJCOMs) and Combatant Commanders (CCDRs) as well as mutual intelligence sharing with the Intelligence Community (IC).

 

 

Located in San Antonio, TX, The Systems Engineer will:

 

 

  • Support the U.S. Space Force Space Operations Command (SpOC)
    • Provide systems engineering, and technical analysis/evaluation, for the acquisition, integration, sustainment, and continued evolution of ISR capabilities/systems.
    • Assist in carrying out daily operations, future acquisitions, and ISR Operations Integration collection and production.
    • Provide Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to States Space Force (USSF)/Space Operations Center (SpOC) S2 in support of Information Operations and Space Control Operations.
    • This position will help develop the ISR Roadmap

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Provide advice, assistance, and project management expertise for acquisitions strategies and management of sensitive portfolios supporting SpOC system life cycle support.
  • Understand, advise, and contribute throughout the phases of threat definition, concept explorations, system acquisition, testing, evaluation, training, operation, and sustainment.
  • Serve as the senior technical advisor and be responsible for integrating guidance and assistance to all Special Missions staff offices, MAJCOMs, and subordinate organizations.
  • Advice and assist in development and maintenance of ISR Operations Integration architecture utilizing industry best practices, standards, languages, and tools.
  • Advise and assist in development and maintenance of ISR Operations Integration technical reports and associated architectural and engineering viewpoints in accordance with DOD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and/or Intelligence Community guidance.
  • Support stakeholder Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) or similar efforts to align unit capabilities with weapon system acquisitions.
  • Create, plan, and maintain master schedules encompassing all intelligence support to systems and intelligence systems acquisition efforts.
  • Analyze technical evaluation reports and provide advice and assistance with determining key performance parameters, track and resolve milestone conflicts in-line with Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS).
  • Develop, update, sustain, and provide advice, assistance, and technical support toward Intelligence Architecture Plans (IAP), Information Support Plans (ISP), technical reports, and modernization efforts of the ISR Operations Integration in compliance with current directives and instructions.
  • Analyze and determine associated ISR capability requirements, gaps/shortfalls based on this information and recommend new or modified ISR system capabilities.
  • Track and provide intelligence collection and production support for operational planning and execution, capability assessments, and policy advice on the tasking of intelligence collection assets.  #LI-SG1

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelor of Science in a technical field; (i.e: systems engineering, electrical/electronic engineering, software engineering, computer science).
  • 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field;
  • 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field;
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.  #-SG1
  • At least five years of experience within the last ten years directly related to enterprise architecture development involving DoDAF, industry standards/languages, and/or model-driven engineering principles.
  • Have and maintain an International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) Certification or Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Level II Engineering.
    • Note: Will consider other professional engineering certifications in place of these.

 

Clearance:

 

  • Must possess and active TS/SCI for consideration
  • Willing to comply with SAP requirements

 

 

Preferred Requirements

 

  • Systems architect with experience in interface control to fuse disparate systems and make them interoperable.
  • Familiarity/proficiency with SPARX Enterprise Architect
  • Experience applying the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Intelligence community, National Security Agency, and/or Space background/experience highly desired.
