Job Description

The selected candidate MUST HAVE a SECRET security clearance. 

This position is CONTINGENT upon award of contract. 

The position is located in Rota, Spain. Relocation assistance will be provided. 

You must be a U.S. Citizen for this role. 

 

Currently seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to continually monitor and evaluate the performance of government contractors in accordance with JFMM. CNRMC, and FDRMC requirements using Contract Administration Qualify Assurance Program (CAQAP) elements. Candidate must be qualified and/or certified to conduct non-nuclear NDT inspections in accordance with NAVSEAA requirements. #LI-NM1


You'll also be performing the following tasks:

Developing and overseeing Quality Management Plans for each contract based on the Quality Data Evaluations of previous contractor performance. 
Generate corrective action requests (CARs) for non-conformance/non-compliance to contract and NAVSEA requirements. 
Develop weekly reports to include project status using JFMM elements. 
Develop test and inspection plans to ensure government contractors are performing required work based on risk, the criticality of work, and past contractor performance.
Review ship specification documents for quality assurance, welding, and NDT requirements to be applied to contract.

Essential Job Responsibilities
Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics). Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data. Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports. May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associates Degree or another 2-year technical degree in related discipline and 6 years related experience or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years related experience.
  • Prior experience developing weekly reports to include project status using JFMM elements. 
  • Prior experience developing test and inspection plans to ensure government contractors are performing required work based on risk, the criticality of work, and past contractor performance.
  • Must have the ability to perform quality audits of internal processes and contractor processes in accordance with ISO standards. 
  • Must be certified to perform preservation coatings inspections (NACE or NBPI), or the ability to be certified to perform these inspections.
  • Must have a Secret security clearance.
  • Must be qualified and/or certified to conduct non-nuclear NDT inspections in accordance with NAVSEAA requirements.
  • Regarding NDT certification, requires a Level II or greater NDT inspector certification. 
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. 
Physical Requirements
Job performance requires adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the job. A waterfront office work environment is normally encountered.
