Job Description
Do you enjoy designing and executing test plans and collaborating with a team of outstanding engineers to improve product quality? HII Mission Technologies is seeking out-of-the-box thinkers who execute test policies, processes and procedures to improve the quality of our existing test pipeline, as well as producing new tests with the assistance the engineering team.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Candidates for this position collaborate with the engineering team to improve overall prodcut quality through the implemenation of test planning and execution, documentation, and process improvement.
- Candidates will need to be or become familiar with FPGA's, functional verification tools (e.g., Questa, VCS, Verdi), logical equivalence tools (e.g., OneSpin 360EC), and proprietary software tools.
- Candidates will develop models, transactors, stimuli, monitors, and test benches for simulating and uncovering hidden behaviors in gate-level digital netlists.
- Candidates will be expected to produce clear documentation and test cases demonstrating identified bugs or deviations from the specification.
- Effective collaboration with teammates to produce cohesive results and create improved processes is required.
- Candidates must be U.S. citizens and be willing and able to obtain a DoD security clearance (if not already cleared).
- Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. Collaborates with engineering laboratory and production functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
- Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
- Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess control and manage risks of product quality and determine the responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
- Audits quality systems for development acceptance criteria (parameters based on product result).
- May undertake root cause analysis of incidents requiring corrective action.
- Ensures that corrective measures and deviation meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
- May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.
- May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality methodologies and utilize quality tools to help drive continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
• US Citizenship
• Willingness to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience with modern digital verification and modeling languages: SystemVerilog, SystemC, C/C++, Matlab, etc.
• Familiarity with various testing methodologies and techniques
• Familiarity with continuous integration tools like Jenkins
• Good communication skills
• Attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Writing scripts for batched verification tasks: Python, Bash, Tcl, Make files.
• Revision control systems for maintaining, sharing, and deploying code: Perforce, git, SVN, etc.
• Familiarity with documentation lagnugae such as Markup or html.
Preferred Requirements
• Familiarity with object-oriented, embedded, assembly, or machine code programming
• Software or hardware reverse-engineering (e.g., IDA Pro, Ghidra)
• FPGA design or verification
• Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance
• Familiarity with testing and verification techniques for IC trust, assurance, or security
• Experience with logical equivalence checkers (e.g., OneSpin 360-EC, ESP, Conformal EC)
Familiarity with functional verification tools (Questa, VCS, Verdi) is a plus
