Huntington Ingalls Industries - Technical Solution Division (HII-TSD) is currently seeking a Strategic Red Team Intelligence Analyst to support the Defense Reduction Threat Agency in Reston, VA. 
The Red Team Intelligence Analyst identifies critical infrastructure vulnerabilities supporting the priorities and needs of DTRA at both DoD and national levels providing products about an enemy’s conventional and asymmetric capabilities and recommendations for mitigating threats in an effective manner. Strategic foresight, anticipatory warning and vulnerability assessment of counter improvised threats supporting Combatant Commands' efforts to prepare for, and adapt to, battlefield surprise in support of counter-terrorism, counter-insurgency, and other related mission areas including counter-improvised explosive device.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Provides analysis and research for industry, infrastructure, technology, country, geographic area, biographic and targeted vulnerability. Prepares assessments of current events based on the sophisticated collection, research and analysis of classified and open source information. Develops and maintains analytical procedures to meet changing requirements and ensure maximum operations. Collects data using a combination of standard intelligence methods and business processes.
  • Provides analysis and research for industry, infrastructure, technology, country, geographic area, biographic and targeted vulnerability.   • Analyze, interpret, prioritize and report on collected data from an adversaries mindset 
  • Support GO/FO level or OA-SIO level requests for Red Team capability support
  • Conduct and management of vulnerability assessments 
  • Gathering information based on program objectives, identify gaps in information gathering, and prioritize courses of action 
  • Research, review, edit, plan, prepare, integrate, and publish all-source terrorism and foreign intelligence service intelligence studies, plans, and/or products relating to specific programs 
  • Ability to deploy/travel for moderate periods of time worldwide (0 – 30%) 
  • Other duties may be assigned, as necessary. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 10 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience.
  • Two plus (2+) years of Expertise in conducting extensive Open Source collection; Red Team or Red Cell experience in developing courses of action and associated plans/orders conducting assessments or Critical thinking experience as it relates to Red Team Analysis. 
  • Five plus (5+) years of Experience supporting DoD using Critical Thinking, Structured analytics and/or Red team Tools and Techniques.
  • Understanding, analyzing and summarizing comprehensive and complex technical, contractual, and research information/data.  
  • Must have experience in supporting Strategic level intelligence
  • Demonstrated experience supporting DoD analysis, training or operations.
  • Demonstrated experience using SME level knowledge to process cultural and intelligence material in support of Red Team production.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience using U.S. Army Red Team tools/methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience applying Red Team Applied Thinking Tools in support of Strategic intelligence analysis.
  • Strong analytical communications, both oral and written, and project management experience.  
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting collection, analysis, and fusion of the collected information.  
  • Proficiency for identifying information requirements, developing collection plans, and identifying information sources. 
  • Ability to deploy/travel for moderate periods of time worldwide (0 – 30%)
  • Security Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI. 
     

Preferred Requirements

•    Master’s degree or higher
•    Graduate of formal DoD Red Team Course
•    Red Team Certifications and/or attendance at US Army Red Team School courses and seminars
•    Experience working with or in direct support of DTRA or former JIDO Red Team
