Job Description

Huntington Ingalls Industries – Technical Solution Division (HII-TSD) is seeking a Software Engineer to support our customer in Northeren, VA. This individual will work to advance state of the art in Big Data, data analysis, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, and advanced analytics to enchance DoD and IC information processes and technical architectures 

 

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Software engineer / developer supporting the MARS UI Scrum Team
  • Performs test-driven software engineering and development activities associated with designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing the user experience for MARS using an Agile DevSecOps model
  • Designs and develops user interfaces and visualizations that support capabilities such as data discovery and query, analytic visualizations, link-node analysis, AI/ML big data analytics, and object production and relationships
  • Develops services using modern techniques such as REST, Java, JSON, Spring, Python, Javascript Web UI frameworks (e.g., JQuery, Angular, React), and Docker
  • Uses processes and tools that support the DevSecOps pipeline including JIRA, Git, Junit, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Artifactory
  • Supports development and demonstration of user interface and visualization concepts, and incorporates analyst feedback into the backlog
  • Develops or provides input to engineering artifacts including Weekly Status Reports, Development Sprint Plans, System Design Documents, User Training Plans and Training Media, Release Plans, Requirements Traceability Matrices, and Sprint Summary Reports.
     
Minimum Qualifications
  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in realted field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • Demonstratable experience in Agile, AWS, Java, Python, JSON, Spring, Spring Boot, Docker, JIRA, Git, Junit, RDBMS technology, Elasticsearch and/or SOLR, NoSQL technology (Hadoop and/or EMR, Web UI Javascript frameworks (e.g. JQuery, Angular, React)
  • Security Clearance: Must possess an active TS/SCI prior to start. In addition must be able to obtain and maintain a post start CI Polygraph
