HII-Mission Technologies is seeking passionate individuals to join our team in partnership with the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) under the Object Based Intelligence and Quality Assurance (OBIQUA) task order. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the Foundational Military Intelligence (FMI) analysis and production, driving new capabilities and insights that will revolutionize intelligence analysis.
 
You'll be instrumental in delivering cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and advanced analytics capabilities, enhancing the intelligence prowess of the U.S. and its allies. Your work will directly support the unification and operationalization of AI across the Defense Intelligence Enterprise, facilitating Joint All-Domain Operations (JADO) by enabling rapid decision-making and seamless information sharing, ultimately providing crucial warfighting advantages.

What you will do

•    Develops and applies fundamental mathematics, mathematical or statistical theory to collect, organize, interpret and summarize numerical data to generate usable information. Solve a wide range of intelligence problems.
•    Applies mathematical theories and statistical methods to solve practical problems. 
•    Develops mathematical or statistical models of phenomena for analysis or computational simulation. 
•    Designs complex metrics projects that apply valid scientific techniques and utilize information obtained from baselines or historical data to structure analyses. 
•    Plans and performs data collection for projects, determining types/sizes of sample groups and prepares data for processing by organizing information and checking for inaccuracies.
•    Processes large amounts of data for statistical modeling and graphic analysis (metrics).
•    Develops computer code to automate the collecting and processing of data period produces results of analyses in graphs, charts, tables, and metrics. 
•    Prepares products to describe and document findings and activities.

Specific QAF duties:
•    Review and evaluate QAF documentation submitted by Advanced Analytic (AA) owners to ensure compliance with tradecraft standards and adherence to best practices in AI system development and deployment
•    Assess QAF documentation for completeness, accuracy, and thoroughness, and provide detailed feedback to AA owners and developers
•    Provide consultation and guidance to AA owners, developers, and stakeholders on the QAF process, including best practices for AI system development, testing, and deployment 
•    Collaborate with AA owners and developers to identify and address potential issues or gaps in QAF documentation
•    Develop and deliver training materials and workshops to educate AA Owners, developers, and stakeholders on the QAF process
•    Assist analytic methodologists and AA owners in translating technical documentation into analytic tradecraft compliant language
•    Collaborate with stakeholders to develop, implement, and refine best practices for translating technical documentation into tradecraft compliant language
•    Review and edit translated documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to tradecraft standards
•    Develop and apply statistical models and methods to evaluate AI system performance, robustness, and fairness, and all source analysis contexts
•    Collaborate with the Computer Scientists to develop and implement testing methodologies for AI system validation and evaluation
•    Analyze and interpret results of statistical models and methods to inform AI system development and improvement
•    Supports capability development by contributing, editing, and storing code in government owned/controlled source version control repositories
•    Additional duties as assigned or required 

What we are looking for

•    2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
•    Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI with a current Poly
•    In-depth knowledge and practical application of fundamental mathematics and statistical theory to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize numerical data.
•    Proven ability to develop and apply mathematical or statistical models for analysis, computational simulation, and solving practical problems.
•    Experience in designing complex metrics projects that apply valid scientific techniques and utilize historical data for structured analyses.
•    Proficiency in planning and performing data collection, determining sample sizes, and preparing large datasets for processing.
•    Ability to process large amounts of data for statistical modeling and graphic analysis (metrics).
•    Demonstrated ability to develop computer code to automate data collection and processing.
•    Strong skills in producing clear and concise results of analyses in graphs, charts, tables, and metrics, along with comprehensive documentation of findings and activities.
•    Experience in reviewing and evaluating technical documentation (e.g., QAF documentation) for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to tradecraft standards and best practices in AI system development and deployment.
•    Ability to provide consultation and guidance on system development, testing, and deployment processes.
•    Proficiency in developing and applying statistical models and methods to evaluate AI system performance, robustness, and fairness.
•    Strong collaborative skills, particularly with technical teams (e.g., Computer Scientists), to develop and implement testing methodologies.
•    Ability to analyze and interpret statistical model results to inform system development and improvement.
•    Familiarity with contributing, editing, and storing code in government-owned/controlled source version control repositories.
•    Demonstrates ability to work independently and with minimal oversight.

•    Bachelor’s with 8 years of experience 
•    Recent applicable experience within the last 2 years 
•    Prior experience working within the intelligence community or on projects related to national security.
•    Direct experience with the full lifecycle of AI system development, testing, and deployment.
•    Experience in developing and delivering training materials or workshops on complex technical processes (e.g., QAF).
•    Proven ability to assist in translating complex technical documentation into analytic tradecraft compliant language.
•    Direct experience with the Quality Assurance Framework (QAF) process for AI systems.

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
