HII-Mission Technologies is seeking passionate individuals to join our team in partnership with the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) under the Object Based Intelligence and Quality Assurance (OBIQUA) task order. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the Foundational Military Intelligence (FMI) analysis and production, driving new capabilities and insights that will revolutionize intelligence analysis.

 

You'll be instrumental in delivering cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and advanced analytics capabilities, enhancing the intelligence prowess of the U.S. and its allies. Your work will directly support the unification and operationalization of AI across the Defense Intelligence Enterprise, facilitating Joint All-Domain Operations (JADO) by enabling rapid decision-making and seamless information sharing, ultimately providing crucial warfighting advantages.

What you will do

  • Collaborate with intelligence analysts, policymakers, and operational teams to understand complex intelligence problems, resource allocation dilemmas, and operational inefficiencies
  • Translate ambiguous intelligence requirements into well-defined, quantifiable problems suitable for operations research and systems analysis
  • Develop conceptual and mathematical models to represent intelligence systems, workflows, and decision processes
  • Identify, acquire, and integrate diverse intelligence data sources (e.g., SIGINT, HUMINT, GEOINT, OSINT, cyber threat data)
  • Apply advanced statistical methods, data mining, machine learning, and pattern recognition techniques to extract actionable insights, identify emerging threats, and predict adversary behavior or system vulnerabilities
  • Design, develop, and implement sophisticated operations research models, including: Optimization Models, Forecasting Models, Simulation Models, and Network Analysis
  • Conduct sensitivity analyses, "what-if" scenarios, and risk assessments using models
  • Provide quantitative evaluations of alternative intelligence strategies, operational plans, or technology investments
  • Develop and deploy decision support tools and analytical dashboards that empower intelligence professionals and decision-makers with data-driven insights
  • Clearly and concisely present complex analytical findings, model outputs, and actionable intelligence recommendations to senior intelligence officials, military commanders, and policy makers
  • Tailor communications to both technical and non-technical audiences, emphasizing strategic implications and operational impact
  • Evaluate the performance of existing intelligence systems and processes
  • Recommend and support the implementation of improvements, new technologies, or methodological enhancements to optimize efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of intelligence products
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in operations research, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and intelligence analysis methodologies
  • Research, prototype, and integrate novel analytical techniques and tools to address evolving intelligence challenges and enhance capabilities
  • Additional duties as assigned or required 

What we are looking for

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience
  • Familiarity with various intelligence disciplines (e.g., SIGINT, HUMINT, GEOINT, OSINT, Cyber Intelligence) and their associated data types and collection methods
  • Experience with data manipulation, cleaning, and analysis using SQL or other database query languages
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dissect highly ambiguous and complex intelligence challenges
  • Superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to convey complex technical and analytical insights effectively to a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior decision-makers
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, and dynamic environment with evolving requirements
  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI with a current Poly

Bonus points for...

  • Masters with 12 years of experience, or Bachelors with 17 years of experience
  • Recent applicable experience within the last 2 years
  • Proficiency in at least one statistical and/or scientific programming language (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB) and experience with relevant analytical libraries (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, scikit-learn, networkx)
  • Strong understanding and practical application of mathematical modeling, optimization techniques (linear, integer, non-linear programming), statistical inference, forecasting, and simulation methodologies
  • Experience with big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud computing environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) in a classified envoronment 
  • Proven experience in developing and deploying analytical tools or applications for intelligence users
  • Strong understanding of geopolitical dynamics, national security policy, and military operations

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
