Are you a Senior Analytical Methodologist ready to be at the forefront of intelligence innovation? HII-Mission Technologies is seeking passionate individuals to join our team in partnership with the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) under the Object Based Intelligence and Quality Assurance (OBIQUA) task order. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the Foundational Military Intelligence (FMI) analysis and production, driving new capabilities and insights that will revolutionize intelligence analysis.

 

You'll be instrumental in delivering cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and advanced analytics capabilities, enhancing the intelligence prowess of the U.S. and its allies. Your work will directly support the unification and operationalization of AI across the Defense Intelligence Enterprise, facilitating Joint All-Domain Operations (JADO) by enabling rapid decision-making and seamless information sharing, ultimately providing crucial warfighting advantages.

What you will do

•    Supports the development of analytic strategies to resolve key intelligence questions of mission driven requirements. 
•    Work with ambiguous information, deconstruct key questions, suggest methodologies, develop data schema to structured observations, and support visualization of applicable data. 
•    Identify and evaluate a wide range of existing methods, models, and algorithms to develop more accurate, complete, objective, and anticipatory analysis for intelligence production.
•    Identify, retrieve, manipulate, relate, and/or exploit structured datasets from all available resources. 
•    Use scripts, visual analytic modeling tools, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for repeatable, widely applicable procedures. Combines empirical or quantitative methods with data analysis for intelligence production of complex and data-driven assessments. 
•    Evaluate the capabilities and limitations of analytic methodologies.
Specific OBI duties:
•    Develop, and maintain domain specific ontologies to enable semantic representation of data inputs, facilitating integration of data sources, and interoperability with internal and external OMSs.
•    Design, develop, and maintain knowledge graphs leveraging domain specific ontologies to support advanced data querying, data visualization, and integration of intelligence functions via Obi standards.
•    Apply Semantic Web standards (e.g. RDF, OWL, SPARQL) to knowledge model entities, relationships, and vocabularies in accordance with industry and government data standards.
•    Establish processes for ontology, version control, change management, stakeholder and governance review to ensure accuracy., consistency, and compliance with IC and DoD policies and standards.
•    Collaborate with team members to enhance semantic data retrieval and reasoning across knowledge graphs through development and optimization of data queries via multiple protocols (e.g. GraphQL, SPARQL, SHACL, SQL)
•    Collaborate with team members to validate and refine exploratory efforts to automate ontologies and associated components to ensure semantic accuracy, relevance, and interoperability with existing knowledge modeling and knowledge graph capabilities
•    Collaborate with team members to evaluate effectiveness of exploratory efforts to automate ontology and associated component generation leveraging qualitative and quantitative metrics
•    Support capability development by contributing, editing, and storing ontologies and knowledge models in government owned/controlled source version control repositories.
•    Additional duties as assigned

What we are looking for

•    5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience
•    Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI with a current Poly
•    Proven ability to design, develop, and maintain domain-specific ontologies and knowledge graphs. 
•    Strong experience in identifying, evaluating, manipulating, relating, and exploiting structured datasets. You'll need to develop data schemas for structured observations and optimize data queries across multiple protocols (e.g., GraphQL, SPARQL, SHACL, SQL) to enhance semantic data retrieval and reasoning.
•    Demonstrated ability to support the development of analytic strategies to resolve key intelligence questions. This involves working with ambiguous information, deconstructing complex questions, suggesting methodologies, and evaluating the capabilities and limitations of various analytic methods, models, and algorithms.
•    Experience in establishing and maintaining processes for ontology version control, change management, stakeholder review, and governance to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with IC and DoD policies and standards.

•    Masters with 12 years of experience 
•    Recent applicable experience within the last 2 years 
•    Experience validating and refining exploratory efforts to automate ontology and associated component generation leveraging novel technologies (e.g., Large Language Models, Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning).
•    Prior experience working within the Intelligence Community or Department of Defense, particularly with Object-Based Intelligence (OBI) standards or similar analytic production environments.
•    Proficiency in using scripts or visual analytic modeling tools for repeatable procedures, and contributing, editing, and storing ontologies and knowledge models in government-owned/controlled source version control repositories.
•    Ability to support the visualization of applicable data to enhance comprehension of complex data-driven assessments.

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
