Summary

HII–Mission Technologies is seeking a highly qualified Information Assurance SME to support the 603rd AOC/A39 across multiple initiatives within the Information Operations mission area. This position provides comprehensive expertise in the execution and oversight of cybersecurity programs within the Enterprise Service Center (ESC). Responsibilities include conducting Assessment and Approval (A&A) activities for IT systems and supporting the broader Information Assurance (IA) portfolio, including Emissions Security (EMSEC) and Computer Security (COMPUSEC). The role will also deliver planning and analytical support for all aspects of Information Operations (IO) and Non‑Kinetic Effects (NKE).

What You Will Do

  • Analyzes Political, Military, Economic, Social Information, and Infrastructure (PMESII) factors influencing military and political strategy, the planning and execution of military operations within the AOR.
  • Provides analytical expertise to integrate U-A regional strategies into the operational planning and crisis action planning processes.
  • Coordinates the development of OPLANS, EXORDS, and crisis action planning orders documentation, as well as OPT membership and CONPLAN re-writes.
  • Provides IO operational planning input and research products to support Joint Lessons Learned (JLL) databases.
  • Provides analysis within the IO planning process to devise courses of action for the employment of available information-related capabilities (IRCs), strategy, doctrine, organization, training and facilitates to achieve mission accomplishment.
  • Provides joint military decision-making process (JMDMP) planning and operations support for the development, planning, coordination, management, and execution of U-A’s IO/NKE mission and theater objectives.
  • Provide operational, exercise, engagement planning, and subject matter expert (SME) support to identify and integrate information-related capabilities into a U.S. Component air operations center (AOC). 

What We Are Looking For

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • Prior experience in Information Operations planning concepts, and employment.
  • Prior experience in Joint Planning Process as it applies to the subject matter role they are filling. 
  • Deep knowledge of Information Assurance (IA) principles, policies, and frameworks.
  • Expertise in Assessment & Authorization (A&A) processes for IT systems.
  • Strong understanding of EMSEC, COMPUSEC, and cybersecurity compliance requirements.
  • Ability to oversee and evaluate cybersecurity programs within enterprise environments.
  • Ability to work effectively with U.S. Components, joint partners, and coalition forces.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for producing plans, briefings, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in high‑visibility, fast‑paced environments.
  • Clearance: Must posses and maintain a TS/SCI.

  • A bachelor's degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, OR; An associate's degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR; A major certification plus 7 years of recent specialize experience, OR; 11 years of recent specialized experience. 
  • Background in DoD IO capabilities highly desired.
  • A bachelor’s degree plus 8-10 years of recent specialized experience.
  • Background in multiple Information Related Capabilities (IRCs) highly desired. 
  • Experience integrating IO/NKE capabilities into operational plans and AOC processes.
