Summary
HII – Mission Technologies is seeking a Technical Operations Integrator / Planner with demonstrated expertise in operational planning and systems integration across Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD), Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2), Defensive Cyber, Information Operations, and ISR Operations. This role provides U-A/A3ZJ SME support to advise, plan, train, improve, and sustain C-JADC2 capabilities in alignment with USAFE Commander priorities.
The candidate will serve as a technical integrator, bridging operational planning with tactical command and control systems, ensuring interoperability of coalition and allied forces, and enabling secure deployment of Modular Detachment Kit (MDK) systems. This position requires deep technical knowledge of Tactical Data Links (TDL), communications architectures, and theater-wide IAMD/JADC2 network integration.
What You Will Do
- Provide SME support in Tactical Command and Control, with emphasis on Tactical Data Link (TDL/Link 16) and Beyond Line-of-Sight (BLOS) voice communication.
- Develop and maintain JADC2 integration and employment strategies, ensuring interoperability with coalition and allied forces.
- Deliver and deploy Modular Detachment Kit (MDK) Voice and TDL systems, managing the full lifecycle from planning and coordination through installation, sustainment, and modernization.
- Support the USAFE A3ZJ Sensor Visibility project by integrating partner nation sensor data into the Early Warning Capability (EWC).
- Contribute to the development and management of the USAFE Theater IAMD Common Operating Picture (COP) and Multi-Tactical Data Link Network systems/architectures supporting joint, allied, and coalition operations.
- Serve as a technical liaison between A3ZJ and other USAFE stakeholders (AOC, A6, A3, ACOMS, A5M), ensuring seamless integration of systems and mission requirements
- Analyze Political, Military, Economic, Social Information, and Infrastructure (PMESII) factors influencing military strategy and operational execution.
- Provide analytical expertise to integrate U-A regional strategies into operational and crisis action planning processes.
- Coordinate development of OPLANS, EXORDS, crisis action planning orders, OPT membership, and CONPLAN re-writes.
- Provide IAMD operational planning input and research products to support Joint Lessons Learned (JLL) databases.
- Support the Joint Military Decision-Making Process (JMDMP) for planning, coordination, and execution of U-A’s IAMD/JADC2 mission and theater objectives.
- Advise the Area Air Defense Commander (AADC) and supporting components on joint/allied air, space, and missile defense, joint interface control, C2 datalink architectures, and JADC2 network implementation.
What We Are Looking For
- 5 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, OR High School Diploma/equivalent with 9 years relevant experience.
- Prior experience in operational planning concepts and employment.
- Prior experience in the Joint Planning Process (JPP) as applied to operational roles.
- Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred: Bonus Points For...
- Associate’s degree with 7 years of recent specialized experience; OR recognized industry certification with 7 years of recent specialized experience; OR 11 years of recent specialized experience without a degree/certification.
- Background in DoD IAMD capabilities highly desired.
- Background in JADC2 operational capabilities highly desired.
- Experience with information operations concepts and operational planning.
- Demonstrated expertise in TDL/Link 16, BLOS voice communication, and coalition/allied integration.
- Experience supporting MDK deployment, sustainment, and integration into theater operations.
