This opportunity resides with All-Domain Operations (ADO), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. All-Domain Operations comprises multi-domain operations, platforms and logistics, and intelligence operations.

Summary
HII-Mission Technologies is seeking an on-site Project Manager to support our customer, U.S. Air Forces in Europe (USAFE) – Air Forces Africa (AFAF), at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. In this role, the Project Manager will collaborate closely with customers and internal staff to ensure the successful execution of projects.
Key responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and completing projects on time, within budget, and within scope, while overseeing all aspects of onsite project personnel. The Project Manager will establish deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor progress, and provide project status summaries in compliance with all contract deliverables. In addition, this individual will prepare reports for government customers and Program Managers detailing project performance and overall status. The successful candidate will work directly with clients to ensure all deliverables align with the approved scope and budget.

What you will do
- Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as a liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
- Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
- Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem-solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
- Serve as the company’s primary point of contact for project-related items and appropriately manage personnel, performance, scope, schedule, and budget matters for the company’s contract support team.
- Provide overall technical and financial management of tasks and milestones associated with contractual agreements.
- Manage relationships and expectations with USAFE-AFAF and our employees.
- Evaluate the progression of project milestones and budget and modify work as applicable to ensure overall project quality, schedule, and budget are being attained.
- Regularly engage with key government client stakeholders.
- Assist with analyzing business requirements.
- Assist in the development of monthly progress reports detailing work performed, schedule of activities, and issues/concerns arising or potentially arising in the following month’s efforts.
- Facilitate the development of information deliverables for a contract in support of the USAFE-AFAF.
- Additional duties as assigned or required.
What we are looking for
- 6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience.
- Experience managing performance-based projects and/or programs with multiple international performance locations.
- Strong leadership, diplomatic, and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across, and down multiple business and technology organizations.
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
- Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI.
Bonus points for...
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from Project Management Institute (PMI) or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III Program Management certification.
- Experience in managing Cost type contracts in support of the Department of Defense.
- Experience with Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) requirements throughout Europe and the DOCPER office and regulations for contractors working in Germany and/ or Italy.
- Experience with using Smartsheet in the management of projects and the utilization of Office 365 products to flatten communications with a geographically dispersed organization.
