Job Description

HII-Technical Solutions Division (TSD) is looking for a Systems Maintainer in South Korea. 

The Maintainer is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on all components of the system sensor suite; maintain system, parts, component, and consumables inventories; and track work orders, inventories, vendor support, and system configuration in the HII-MDIS Logistics Information System (LIS). Maintainers will be cross-trained to perform system Command and Control (C2) operations as well as air sample collection and analysis. The Maintainer will also serve as the system representative to military and Government in the Site Leads absence. 

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Perform Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) on all system equipment In Accordance With (IAW) technical publications, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM's) guidance and recommendations, and Government direction.
  • Perform corrective maintenance, component replacement, and component return to vendor or OEM as necessary.
  • Maintain effective working relationship with installation EM and support entities such as Department of Public Works (DPW).
  • Assist in developing and executing preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) schedules.
  • Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) specific to each Environmental Analysis Project position.
  • Ensure information accuracy in the Logistics Information System (LIS).
  • Provide input to the Site Weekly Activity and Performance Reports.
  • Attend weekly meetings and tag ups with HII-MDIS Management and the Government customer as required.
  • Train, obtain, and maintain System Maintainer certification (initial and annual recurring).
  • Perform maintenance activities as needed on entire chemical, biological, and force protection sensor suite.
  • This role is mainly executed during daylight hours, but can escalate to 24/7 operations at force protection condition (FPCON) Charlie or Delta.
  • This will be on-site, or on-call, depending on FPCON level and intelligence.
  • Able to work independently, and with a team to achieve mission success.
  • Willing to support non-standard work hours.
  • Positions require indoor and outdoor work in varying environmental conditions.
  • For new installations: 
  • Assist the Site Lead/Installation Coordinator in interfacing with support entities for facilities and system infrastructure support.
  • Assist with new system and equipment emplacement, connection, startup, and burn-in.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years’ experience with HS diploma
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active US Passport
  • Two (2) years of related experience in Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN), and/or Force Protection missions and programs.
  • Experience in maintaining CBRN equipment and/or systems.
  • Clearance: Active Secret security clearance

Preferred Requirements

  • Associate's degree in EM, Business, Engineering, Biology, Chemistry.
  • Prior Military, Department of Defense (DoD) civilian, or DoD contractor experience.
  • Technical training such as equipment troubleshooting and repair certifications
  • Three (3) years of experience in Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN), and/or Force Protection missions and programs.
  • Experience in maintaining CBRN equipment and/or systems.
  • Knowledge relating to the collecting and handling environment samples
  • Knowledge relating to performing environmental sample analysis
  • Familiarity with DoD Chain of Custody documentation and procedures for the handling, transport, and handoff of samples.
