This opportunity resides with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Summary

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Targeting Analyst to support the United States Forces Korea (USFK), Assistant Chief of Staff, J2 (ACofS, J2) JIOC-K in their mission to provide timely intelligence to Commander, USFK and Combined Forces Command, the combined battle staff, and war fighter component commanders!

 

The JIOC-K's efforts focus on detecting enemy threats, managing intelligence, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) activities, analyzing enemy actions and information to determine enemy's probable courses of action.

 

The overall analytic effort strengthens Defense Intelligence and provides relevant, timely, objective, and cogent all source Defense Intelligence to the Commander and other users, and transforming theater intelligence activities to better leverage the capabilities of the theater and global intelligence communities and safeguard United States personnel and interests within the Korea Theater of Operations (KTO). What you will do

  • Develops target nominations, create database records, and database target intelligence products
  • Researches Target System Analysis to produce these products IAW CJCSI 3370: Physical Description, Target Significance, Expectation, Collateral Damage Concerns, and Functional Characterization Sources
  • Coordinates with Target Vetting with other combatant commands and with national intelligence agencies
  • Develops Intermediate Target Development and Target Vetting Trackers
  • Assists components with submitting Target Development Nominations (TDN) for future vetting nominations
  • Conducts basic, intermediate, and advanced target development)
  • Studies USFK priorities to make recommendations for Target Development
  • Produces white papers and briefings to assist J2 leadership with Intermediate Target Development processes
  • Manages, updates, and coordinates USFK target lists in the Joint Targeting Toolbox (JTT) and MIDB to include: Target Folders, Candidate Target List (CTL), No Strike List (NSL), Joint Target List (JTL) and data management procedures
  • Supports planning efforts with operations and planners  
  • Conducts all-source analysis across target intelligence disciplines, principally focused on air, naval, ground, missile, long range artillery (LRA), command-and-control, SOF, and WMD
  • Examines links, nodes, vulnerabilities, interdependencies, and critical elements on enemy target systems (synchronize target intelligence assessments)
  • Serves as SME in conferences, meetings, exercises, and working groups
  • Identifies intelligence information disparities and collection requirements to fill intelligence gaps
  • Assists the development and the dissemination of Target Management SOP
  • Additional duties as assigned or required
     

What we are looking for

  • 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience
  • Able to surge support during 2 exercises per year
  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance, with the continued ability to obtain a Poly 

Bonus points for...

  • Bachelors with 8 years of experience preferred
  • Recent applicable experience within the last 2 years also preferred
  • Intelligence experience and/or operation support in Korea or other active theaters 
  • Experience in building targets 
  • Experience with the bi-lateral (ROK-US) Korean environment 
  • Familiar with the Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) for Korea

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
