Summary

Join HII-Mission Technologies as an Open Source Analyst, supporting the United States Forces Korea (USFK), Assistant Chief of Staff, J2 (ACofS, J2) JIOC-K! You'll play a key role in providing critical and timely intelligence to the Commander, USFK, Combined Forces Command, and their associated staffs and commanders.

 

The JIOC-K's mission focuses on identifying enemy threats, overseeing Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) activities, and dissecting enemy actions to anticipate their likely strategies. This analytical work is essential for enhancing Defense Intelligence, ensuring that accurate, timely, and comprehensive all-source intelligence reaches the Commander and other users. You'll also contribute to transforming theater intelligence operations, leveraging global intelligence capabilities to protect U.S. personnel and interests in the Korea Theater of Operations (KTO). What you will do

  • Conducts all-source analytic production on sources and products of information available from public, private, and U.S. and foreign Government open source materials within established security protocols
  • Analyzes foreign and domestic-based publicly available information to identify trends, patterns, and relationships that provide unique insights to address defense intelligence requirements
  • Identifies sources of PAI of potential intelligence value, to include resources which offer data for purchase, in order to satisfy a given intelligence requirement
  • Employs tactics, techniques, and procedures when conducting Publicly Available Information (PAI) collection, in order to mitigate operational risks and interpret laws and policies governing the collection and use of PAI
  • Maintains and manipulates intelligence information sharing databases, data formats/products, and shared directories
  • Tracks and coordinates intelligence production requirements; prepare studies, publications, and briefings
  • Translates, conducts quality review, and updates as necessary all documents and products to and from Korean and English, as requested by the Government
  • Prepares Intelligence Information Reports (IIRs)
  • Processes, analyzes, and consolidates Requests for Information (RFI)
  • Optional Labor under this task will perform the duties and include the required skills listed above and in addition, will work emerging requirements related to increased military and/or malign influence campaign activity from North Korea or its allies
  • Additional duties as assigned or required 

What we are looking for

  • 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience
  • Able to surge support during 2 exercises per year
  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance, with the continued ability to obtain a Poly 

Bonus points for...

  • Bachelors with 3 years of experience preferred, or High School Diploma with 7 years of experience 
  • Recent applicable experience within the last 2 years 
  • Intelligence experience and/or operation support in Korea or other active theaters 
  • Experience with the bi-lateral (ROK-US) Korean environment 
  • Familiar with the Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) 

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
