Who Are We

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and technically proficient Project Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of engineering-centric projects under the IOF contract at Port Hueneme Division (PHD). The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Electrical Engineering, Software Development, and/or Systems Engineering, coupled with a proven ability to deliver integrated, mission-critical solutions that span multiple technical domains.
This role requires strategic leadership, hands-on technical insight, and a collaborative spirit to manage complex project lifecycles and ensure alignment with operational objectives and innovation goals.

What You Will Do

Project Leadership Across Engineering Disciplines
•    Manage concurrent projects with focus on electrical systems, software platforms, and systems integration.
•    Direct multi-disciplinary engineering teams to deliver unified technical solutions.
Technical Planning & Execution
•    Define project scopes and develop schedules with deep understanding of electrical schematics, software architectures, and systems-level design.
•    Coordinate engineering workstreams and resource planning across hardware, firmware, and software units.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
•    Collaborate with government customers and internal teams to integrate project initiatives.
•    Present technical briefings to leadership and stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
Operational Oversight & Risk Management
•    Monitor scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring alignment with contractual and technical goals.
•    Apply industry best practices in risk mitigation, quality control, and productivity improvements.
Documentation & Reporting
•    Generate project status updates, technical documentation, and performance analytics.
•    Ensure technical feasibility and compliance through systems thinking and engineering standards.

What You Must Have


Proven experience managing projects with deliverables in:
•    6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience.
•    Electrical Engineering (e.g., circuit analysis, control systems, embedded hardware) and/or.
•    Software Development (e.g., embedded programming, application lifecycle management) and/or,
•    Systems Engineering (e.g., architecture definition, integration, verification & validation)
•    Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.
•    Familiarity with industry best practices in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, PMI, CMMI). 
•    Exceptional communication skills and ability to tailor information to technical and non-technical audiences.
•    Must have a DoD Secret Clearance

Bonus Points For


•    Certification in Project/Program Management (e.g. PMP, PgMP, CAPM, etc.).

Physical Requirements

May be required to visit job site in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
