Job Description

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking a results-driven and dedicated Fleet Sustainment Quality Assurance (QA) Oversight Lead to join our Global Security team. This position can be worked remotely from anywhere within the U.S., however there is preference for a candidate located near Port Hueneme, CA. 

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain Quality Assurance program for LCS Mission Module program onboard U.S. Navy ships IAW Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM), operating from a Government Owned, Contractor Operated facility in Oxnard, California.
  • Ensure adequate QA oversight of all LCS MM technical projects and support personnel.  
  • Maintain close contact with customers to make requisite and timely adjustments to programs.
  • Work with all functional departments as required to ensure continued customer satisfaction, compliance with corporate policies and standards, and to maintain high ethical standards. 
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, providing insights on QA oversight of LCS MM support.
  • Communicate periodic progress, status updates, and risk assessments to senior management. 
  • Personally model HII values of integrity, safety, honesty, engagement, responsibility and performance. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 6 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Top Secret security clearance eligible; Must possess a current Secret security clearance.
  • Client requirements: Bachelors degree in managerial, construction, civil or general engineering fields or 15 years of in-depth experience and specialized knowledge in a related field.
  • 15 years of experience with managing quality assurance programs for maintenance activities on military systems used in a Navy environment
  • Thorough knowledge of the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM), NAVSEA Standard Items, other Navy maintenance reference, and their applicability to maintenance activities on military systems used in a Navy environment.
  • Three (3) years experience with developing and maintaining Standard Operating Processes and Procedures for industrial work as part of a Quality Management System.
  • Five (5) years experience project management of personnel and resources.
  • Three (3) years experience with secured, classified facility management and security protocols.

Preferred Requirements

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, construction, civil or general engineering related fields.
  • DOD facilities management experience.
  • Littoral Combat Ship Mission Modules or small Unmanned Surface Vessel program support.
  • Experience in support of Mission Package Support Facility (MPSF) and Mission Module Readiness Centers (MMRCs), including maintenance, embark/debark, modernization, engineering, sustainment, logistics, security, facilities, testing and operations.
