Job Description

HII USG is seeking an experienced systems requirement engineer to conduct full life cycle requirements management on unmanned maritime systems.  The candidate shall  assist stakeholder in capturing and generating requirements, conduct requirement analyis, managing and maintaining requirements through validation and product sustainment.  The candidate shall help develop the framework by which requirements are documented, managed, traced through development and testing, through the use of Jama, Jira, and MBSE.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in realted field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience with requirements management
  • Extensive experience with Jama
  • Experience in a defense industry business
  • Must have a Secret Security clearance #LI-MH1
     

Preferred Requirements

  • Extensive experience with Jira
  • Experience in a defense industry business
  • Working knowledge of MBSE and SysML
  • Military standards as it relates to requirements definition and test methods
  • Knowledge of INCOSE guides and handbooks regarding requirements management

Physical Requirements

Office, industrial, or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving materials may be required.
