This opportunity resides with Uncrewed Systems (UxS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Uncrewed Systems comprises unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs), unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) and autonomy software.

HII Unmanned Systems is seeking an experienced professional to join our team! As our new Quality Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting in managing a wide variety of quality issues, ranging from in-process inspection, OQE generation and management for reporting purposes, and MRB activity support.  The ideal candidate should have experience in process inspections and receiving (incoming) material inspections in accordance with drawing, manufacturing order, and purchase order requirements.  Preferably you will have root cause/corrective action analysis expertise to assist in helping understand issues discovered, determine causes, and establish effective corrective actions. Good written and verbal communication skills and computer skills is needed for this role.  

This position is a 1st shift position and onsite in Pocasset, MA.



What you will be doing!

Develops and implements program quality plans and procedures. Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies and data related to production. Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Interfaces with stakeholders to ensure requirements are met. Recommends corrective actions, dispositions, process optimization and modifications.

What we are looking for...

  • 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a government clearance #LI-MH1

 

Bonus points for...

  • Must have experience and demonstrate proficiency using calibrated measuring and test equipment.
  • Experience with inspection and handling of electronic equipment and manufacturing methods.

Physical Requirements

Possible exposure to fumes and irritants normally encountered in an industrial or shipboard environment. May involve gathering of data while observing machinery or equipment operations.
